Una robust porter veramente impressionante! Tanto corpo, tanto cioccolato e una bella botta di caffé finale ad equilibrare il tutto.

33 cl bottle. Pitch black with a rather big, brown three finger head that settles quickly, leaving nice lacings on the glass. The aroma is very balanced and full. Brown sugar, syrup and plenty of dried dark fruits(figs, dates, prunes and the works...). Roasty and sweet, but never too much. Again, balanced. Almost don´t want to finish this glass, as I´d rather keep smelling it! Loving this... Damn near perfect aroma in my book! Looks and tastes almost as good as it looks... Where can I get more?

33 cL bottle. Pours a thick, creamy and dense pitch black with a dense dark chocolate brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and light fruity. Thick dark malty, roasted, chocolate and more pronounced coffee. Light fruity smooth touch. Rich dense malty and creamy finish, alcohol presence but otherwise very nicely balanced.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2012 With thanks to my brother for kindly sharing his Christmas gift. Re-rated in February - it’s a beer that grows with every new tasting. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of licorice and dark chocolate with dried fruit and a hint of cherry. Rich dark flavour of roasted malt, licorice and chocolate with a fruity touch, some cherry, and spicy notes of especially cardemum and cinnamon. Warming, vineous alcohol. A bit of roasted acidity in the finish

Bottle, 33 cl, courtesy of Papsø, thanx. Thick and black brew with a nice creamy, mostly lasting dark brownish head. Aroma is dark : Dark sugar, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark coffee, dark fruits, dark rhum, licorice dark flowery hops, very enticing, layer upon layer of aroma. Flavor is deep and sweet, mellow roast, licorice, dark dries fruits, flowery hops, burned medium bitter malty finish and weightless aromatic hops on top of it all. Long lingering, dry finish. Well hidden alcohol.

25-DEC-2011, bottle @home, from "Ølbutikken". Fantastic high lasting brown head on black body. Nose is roasted with coffee and loads of chocolate. A hint of mint and smoke. Taste has a herbal note and then even more roasted notes like espresso. Barrel aging is there, but subtle. A hugh octane porter but smooth an in no way alcoholic. Fantastic brew. Rebuy.
