UPDATED: FEB 23, 2012 With thanks to my brother for kindly sharing his Christmas gift. Re-rated in February - it’s a beer that grows with every new tasting. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of licorice and dark chocolate with dried fruit and a hint of cherry. Rich dark flavour of roasted malt, licorice and chocolate with a fruity touch, some cherry, and spicy notes of especially cardemum and cinnamon. Warming, vineous alcohol. A bit of roasted acidity in the finish

Bottle with great thanks to the wolf. Pours a very dark brown with smallish cream coloured head. Nice aromas of roasted grain, creamy milk chocolate and some alcohol. Really good. Flavours show this sweetness before a decent bitter finish thanks to the roasted grain. Medium slick mouthfeel. Really nice beer.

Bitter finish with a slight moccha and coffee hint guiding the roastyness. Medium to full carbonation, full body, medium oily texture. Ahh whatever ;) Just a great beer!
