Courtesy of Papsø; expired Sept 2009 (1 year ago)
The color is brown, very dark, almost black; cloudy; with a lot of carbonation and generous head. The aroma is mild, yet the aroma of cassia or cinnamon extract is unmistakable; it’s too artificial to bear! Strong roasted malt and dark chocolate flavor, quite dry, with artificial cinnamon and very strong, salty liquorice; the closest thing I can associate it to is some sort of Fernet digestive liquor, but without the sweetness and alcohol. I know somebody likes this mess...

Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. A muddy brown beer with a dense, tan head of moderate size. Rather spiced nose with roasted malts. A bit boring. The flavor has Christmas spices, roasted malts and some bitterness. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A quite nice one, blends the spices and roasted malts nicely. 100814

Bottle, 6.0%. Fruity aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has an interesting spicy note, some cookie spice, perhaps aniseed. Not bad.

MPA (782) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle. Dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of brown as well as candied sugar, ripe fruit, spices, oranges, cloves and cardamom. Flavour is sweet and spicy with brown and malt dominating besides the spiciness. Decent, but reminds me a bit of a watered down "Gammel Dansk" (a danish bitter).
