Bottle: Cloudy, amber coloured with a loose, but big, off-white head that slowly collapses, distinctive herbal to piney hoppy nose, supported by some caramel; soft and relatively light bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; dryish hoppy-fruity-caramelly finish, with some residual hops sticking to the palate. Good and well balanced…

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, straw, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Flaske, 33 cl. Købt i Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Amarillo-edition. Gylden med hvidt skum. Humle-næse. Masser af fyr. Lidt citron. Appelsin. Grapefrugt. Lidt for sød i malten, men god bitterhed.

Bottle looks good. Name a bit confusing. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Fruity aroma. Starts strong, woody-hoppy, a bit scratchy. Fruity notes of lemon. Finish milder, almost thin, still some fruity hints. Okay.

33cl, 10/2013. Biershop. Decent approximation of the style, with a murky and sweet malt profile that tastes like it is being broken down by the sharply infused hops, aka lacking balance a bit and suffering from that typical "lack of malt backbone" phenomenon that characterises many EU IPAs. Leafy, peachy (rather than C-zesty) hops remain a perfume, not an anchored taste.

The head is ok, the body brown-red. It smells hopintensive, Amarillo, flowery, fruity. The taste is hoppy, intensive, Amarillo, fruity, bitter. Ok, but could be still more fruity. 3.5

Bottle from P&M Getränke Bonn. Orange in the glass with a white head. The nose is very fruity, floral and nice. The beer starts very intense, dry, floral and slightly sweet. The hops are a bit pushing, not round, but I think it is due to the typical Amarillo aroma. The aftertaste is long, quite sweet, caramel, malt, with sweet floral hop. Probably even too sweet for me. A slightly bitter note in the aftertaste as well that fits in well.
for me this beer is too sweet, too much sweetness in combination with the peach-like floral hops. --> 11/12/10/11
