2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(330ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) medium hazy gold, creamy white fine bubbles. Nose is super funky, like a rotten root vegetable, candied citrus lingering behind, funky cream. Taste of candied/honey citrus, overly sweet, cloying. Syrupy body with no balance, just sweet and bitter.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy amber liquid with small off-white head. Lots of grassy hops in the aroma with notes of grass, grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit, caramel, licorice?, booze, pine/resin and candy. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with lots of sticky hops and some caramel malt. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really nice DIPA/TIPA. Enough hops to balance the alcohol.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2012 330 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours clear golden with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of lacing and some trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and hoppy fresh with grapefruit juice, pine, freshly cut grass, persimmon, mango, pineapple, orange peal, lemon zest, caramel, alcohol, green grapes and hints of sweet bread. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, fresh grass, pineapple, mango, grapefruit juice, passion fruit, gooseberries, lemon balm, green grapes, golden syrup, orange peal, dill and lots of alcohol. Mouthfeel is oily bitter, boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with pine, grass, orange peal, caramel and alcohol. Pity it’s so dominated by alcohol in the taste and mouthfeel.

13th May 2012
Post CBC hangover in the Hotel and - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again! Hazy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Softish palate with fine carbonation. Rich hops - pine dominates, trace of pineapple. Mild skunk and orange marmalade. Smooth dry finish with a little aniseed alcohol. An aggressive IPA but quite drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Oily texture, alcoholic, very bitter... warming, not refreshing. Overall: too heavy, not my kind of DIPA, but OK.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 20.03.2013(?)
Aroma is rather rich on sweet, exotic fruits, some resin and biscuits. Flavour is sweet and hoppy with resin, some exotic fruits, hints of caramel and biscuits. A feeling of alcohol in the finish. Nice and not too sweet – but still worse than the first Pikkulintu TIPA. Oh, and you will not want this to get any warmer from refigerator temperature – the alcohol comes through otherwise.
