Drunk in a snifter at BrauKunstLive! 2013 in München, Germany. Pikkulintu IPA was maybe one of the best of the day. You could taste the Citra and Simcoe hops clear as a bell, and at 11%, the alcohol was really well hidden. A WOW beer.

Draft @ ACBF 2012: slightly clear orange with a white head, smell is full-on bitter grapefruit but very fruity hops overall, plenty of flowers & nectar, taste is similar bitter fruity grapefruit hop blast followed by plenty of bitter nectar & flowers, touch of yeast, tropical fruits, touch pine resin & sugar, bitter fruity hops with a strong sweet backbone, full & creamy with a solid body, lovely

Bottle. Great balance, little sweet but well defined hop characters. Caramel, citrusy hops, fresh squeezed mango aroma, which is there in the taste as well, some biscuit notes as well. No trace of the alcohol at all.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear golden with an off-white head and hints of lacings. Quite sweet with a medium to high bitterness. Sugary hops aromas with some floral notes with hints of grapefruit. Also hints of alcohol and a warming alcohol sensation. Medium to full bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Long hoppy finish. Awesome.

One of the different versions of this IPA for a beerpub in Helsinki, this one for its tenth birthday. Off-white, firm head, warm orange blonde robe. Obviously very powerful hops in the nose, grapefruit peel, orange liqueur, tonic water, caramel, pine needles, white pepper; soft caramel malts base upon which elegant dried fruit notes are built as well as an attacking, strongly citrus- and pepper-like, dry, resinous, sticky, complex hop bitterness resulting in a very long finish with some agreeably warming alcohol. Exemplary for its style.

Draught at Fairbar, Århus, 12% ABV
Hazy amber color, with a green hue; creamy head. It’s quite sweet but not cloying like other beers, it’s very bitter but not harsh, and it’s fruity without having rough hop resins; there is a strong presence of tropical fruits from the aroma to the flavor. Well balanced, excellent Double IPA.
