   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
TBone (11926) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 17, 2013
Bottled 500ml @Beer Hunters
Dark brown-amber color, good beige head. Papery, a bit grassy. Not very fresh feeling. Light caramel. Medium-bodied. Light caramel, grassy hoppyness. Some yeasty notes, toffee. A bit of Scottish smoke. Although feeling is not very fresh at first, it is actually quite decent. Not a typical amber ale.

Bottled. Pours dark brown in color with a small off-white head. Bready malty notes, smoke, some sweetish toffee too. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Bread, some sweetish toffee, burnt grains is present. Some smoke, but evidently the grainy notes are a bit stronger in this case. Quite nice though.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours lovely, deep red with a small, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has caramel, chocolate, smoke, light tobacco. Low carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of chocolate, fine elegant smokiness, mild caramel. Quite firm bitterness in the end.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20130112) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium szied and almost white. Aroma had smoke, molasses and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, molasses, malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaster was smoky, sweet and lightly bitter. Less sweetness woule have resulted in a better beer but this one is good, too.
