Bottle. A glowing brown beer, clear, topped by a small, dark beige head. The aroma has dark dried fruits and vinegar, some notes of spices too. Vanilla. Dry, soft on the palate, medium body. Vinegar hints, fruityness, some dried fruits and vanilla hints in the flavor. Lasting finish with fresh and dried fruits and some vinegar. A pleasant one, that’s for sure, but I think it lacks a bit on complexity. 130309

330ml bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki

Pours dark reddish with a small head. Aroma of tart fruits, sour notes, hints of berries and malts. Taste has notes of berries, hints of red wine, wood, slightly tart notes and sweet vanilla. Finish is smooth, mildly tart with some berries. Nice, surprisingly well balanced and tasty sour ale. Reminds me of Russian River Supplication.

Bottle. Pours a really dark amber/ruby red color with a beige head. Aroma is of brett, red wine, oak, spicy notes, red apple skin, balsamic vinegar notes, dark fruits, candied sugar and some musty old funk. The flavor follows the nose with lots of brett and funk again old cellar and barnyard along with lots of vinous red wine notes, oak, red apple skin, balsamic vinegar, suagry notes and spice. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a really nice vinous Wild Ale!
