COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle @ family/parents. appearance: Pours clear brown with short lived off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste notes: caramel, hints of smoke, coffee and toffee. palette: medium to powerful aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, medium bitterness, medium duration and an oily texture. Overall: well balanced "roasted" brown ale

On tap @Grincheux, Strasbourg 01/2015. Appetising creamy brown pour. Smooth candy bar nose of milk chocolate and roast, milk stout sedate with a refined nuttiness. Wiener Melange and Irish Coffee sans burn. Creamy clean mouthfeel transporting near-stout roast maltiness, short of Irish cream butterscotch with a good lick of liquorice. Maybe lacks some punching power, but overall a suave composition of complementary, natural mild flavours overall evoking dessert fantasies of striped Dame Blanche ice cream.

Sötét borostyán színű, krémes állagú, alig habos ital. Csokis, tejcukros, kicsit kávés, mogyorós, karamellás, de nem édes, picit mogyorós. Fincsi!

500ml bottle ordered through Vinmonopolet bestillingsutvalget. Shared with Elisabeth and Stefan. Bubbly tan-coloured head to a clear rosewood coloured body. Brown malty aromas, earth and nuts. Mid-sweet flavours of chocolate and caramel. Dark roasted malty ending. Foamy in the mouth. Fine bodied. Tasty and highly appreciated (Tromsø 20.10.2014).

Bottle from trade with fonefan, many thanks! Fast schwarze Farbe, ordentliche bräunliche Schaumkrone. Geruch nach viel Röstmalz, Gewürzen, Kaffee und Vanille. Geschmack schokoladig, sehr malzig, Karamell, Vanille.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Ekstremt mørk amber. Egentlig svart. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Aroma av røstet malt & fjøs. Fjøspreget fortsetter over til smaken men overtar heldigvis av kaffe. Forvirrende øl. Ubalansert. Veksler mellom godt & dårlig. Ettersmaken er f.eks. helt ok.

Bottle. Dark amber body, small beige head. Aroma is malty with a light roastness, dark fruits. Sweet caramel taste, slightly alcoholic, herbs, cocoa. Dry palate with hints of anise in the finish. Solid but doesn’t stand out in any way.

Clear, very dark brown. Small, light beige head. Roasted aroma, perhaps a hint of licorice. Flavour is malty, nicely roasted. Finish is a little spicy.
