Originally brewed in 2009, brought back by popular demand for the first time since 2012. Brewed with the assistance of Fanø’s Oyster King, Jesper Voss. A traditional British Stout, with strong roasted malt character and hints of coffee and caramel. Brewed with both oyster liquor and whole oysters from the Wadden Sea gives this full bodied beer the unique aroma of the ocean with a slightly savory mineral finish.

Tap @ CBC, 2012.
Pours completely black with a small, fizzy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, light herbal notes, roasted malts, light tar. Medium carbonation, great light and dry mouthfeel - especially impressive at this ABV. Flavour has good roasted malts, fat chocolate, herbal notes, light salty water. Super dry and bitter malty finish. Really well-made at this ABV.

Draught at CBC. Pitch black with a short beige head. Aroma is smooth roasted - malts, chicory, coffee, licorice. Taste is medium sweet, heavy bitter with notes of coffee, licorice and seawater leading to a dry, very nice, lightly sallted finish. Medium body with a massive mouthfeel for the ABV. Finish is long and lingering. Very well done oyster stout.

Bottle, courtesy of yespr. Pours nearly black with airy chocolatelike head. Inviting aroma of roasty malt. Taste of smoked malt and roasted nuts. Pleasant, not excessively dry aftertaste. Very decent stuff. Bonus point for relatively low amount of alcohol.

Tap @ CBC. Plack pour, no head. Aroma has lots of English liquorice, a very unique malt aroma that I love - smells exactly like putting your nose in a bag of chocolate malts. A nice hoppy note, which blends in with the malts, giving an aroma that’s very similar to the aroma of when you boil the wort of a hoppy stout. I love the aroma on this one! The taste is very balanced - lovely malts with roast, liquorice, chocolate, some meaty umami feeling and a nice grassy hop bitterness. So tasteful, and it really punches way above its weight for a 3,7% stout. Great effort!
