Ok mouthfeel. Flavour is soft with roasted malt, chocolate, licorice, bit coffee. Mild saltiness. Great brew and I really like the low abv too.

Medium brown body. Opaque black body. Roasty smoky licorice aroma with phenolic sooty notes. Dry roasty smoky minty taste with burnt notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Shared bottle. Low dense tan head. Body is opaque dark brown to black. Aroma is subtle chocolate, ashy dark malts and rounded roast. Dryish, faint smoky malt base. Notes of salty licorice and well roasted dark malts. Good body. Smooth mouthfeel. Roasty and ashy malt finish. Good stuff. [09.02.13]

Bottle. Pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma has roasted notes along with coffee and licorice. The flavor is roasted malt, licorice, pine and coffee. Delicious!

(draught) pours black in colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of salt water, roasted malts and treebark, with a hint of cherries, peppermint and rye bread. flavour is mostly the same, toasted malts are dominant, with notes of earth and caramel, a medium sweetness and a slightly tart finish. watery body with soft carbonation.
