Originally brewed in 2009, brought back by popular demand for the first time since 2012. Brewed with the assistance of Fanø’s Oyster King, Jesper Voss. A traditional British Stout, with strong roasted malt character and hints of coffee and caramel. Brewed with both oyster liquor and whole oysters from the Wadden Sea gives this full bodied beer the unique aroma of the ocean with a slightly savory mineral finish.

Bottle. Black, beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, cocoa and dark malts. Sweet and a bit salty with sugary notes ending in a dry and decently bitter finish. I’ve had this on several occasion and just now realised, I hadn’t entered a rating, though my backlog notes my say more. So a quick rating while drinking this upon having had a nice phở bò. Nothing wild about it, but it’s an above average dry stout, which can be had in huge amounts without getting drunk or queasy.

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 03/2013. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Roasted notes, cold coffee, some earthy and cellar, even if quite minimal, they’re present. Coffee, bitter chocolate and just a bit of sweetish cocoa powder in taste. There’s some off notes towards the finish. Quite smooth, but just a bit too light in the end.

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Roasted, coffee, charcoal and a little seaside touch. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Ends light dry and bitter with long roasted notes. Lots of flavor for the abv and good drinkability.

Utrolig god smag i betragtning af 3,7% alkohol. Mørkebrun farve og sød men lidt kort smag. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
