Draught at the Fermentoren, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Very lively black colour with average size brown head. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and mild sweetness in aroma. But the flavour is the experience. Smooth and complex. Roasted malt, vinous notes, coffee, chocolate, some hoppy bitterness and creamy sweetness. Satisfying. Heavy. Rich.

Black color, oily, with brown head. Very nice aroma, peaty, with roasted malt, bread. Strong body, with round mouthfeel; strong flavor of roasted malt and dark chocolate, coffee, some residual sugars, peat, coal, alcohol, resiny hops, some liquorice. Nice tickling feeling on the tongue, from the alcohol and the hops.
Very good.

(on tap @ Fair Bar) Pours black with a dark brown head and good lace. Served rather cold once again with little time for hand warming. Aroma seems peaty and vegetal. Quite creamy mouthfeel with the alcohol well hidden. Soft carbonation, full body and a lightly bitter finish with roasted notes. Taste is roasted with licorice and vegetal notes. Good but compated with good beers of comparable ABV just standard.

Tap @ Fairbar. Pours black with a small creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, rich dark chocolate, figs, caramel, smoke dried fruit. Taste is malts, dark chocolate, green figs, smoke, caramel, dark dried fruit. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, lasting bittersweet finish. Another great Fanø beer. 170312

Draught at Mikkeller bar.Pitch black colour with small beige head.Aroma is rosted and sweet with flavor of dark chocolate and coffee.Oily texture and good full body really nice brew.

Draft. Almost black, small tan head. Aroma of toast, dark chocolate. taste is burnt espresso, dark fruits. Nice.

Very creamy tan head covering the black ale. Nice soft smokey notes over roasted malts, chocolate and coffee.

Tap at Mikkeller. Pours pitch black with a small creamt head. Nose has lots of roasted malts and chocolate and tons of smoke. Taste has of roasted malts and liquorice and an almost smoked sausagelike flavour very similar to the sausages sold in the bar. Medium bodied and almost no carbonation. Very dry finish, but very nice.

Tap@ Fairbar. Pours black with a creamy, tan, head and fair lacing. Nose of sligthly roasted malts and chocolate + smoked notes. flavor of roasted malts, coffee, smoke and liquorice. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and flat to soft carbonation. Ends up more dry wiyh a tiny malt bitterness. Excellent.
