On tap. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head. Roast and smoke in the nose. Solid body, heavy roast and bitter chocolate a slightly woody touch, but not all that smoky flavours (thankfully!). Ends with a distinct malt bitterness and a warming alcohol. 170212

Bottle from Olbutikken. Opaque black beer. Huge thick dark tan head. Palate is soft and a little dry. Soft dark malt, a whisper of coffee plus that weird emulsion paint vibe I sometimes get from BA beers. Unsweet dark chocolate. Soft mellow smoke - well integrated. Finishes soft with a dark malt linger (not bitter).

Draught at Fairbar, Århus
Black color, oily, with brown head. Very nice aroma, peaty, with roasted malt, bread. Strong body, with round mouthfeel; strong flavor of roasted malt and dark chocolate, coffee, some residual sugars, peat, coal, alcohol, resiny hops, some liquorice. Nice tickling feeling on the tongue, from the alcohol and the hops.
Very good.
