TURDFERGUSON (1114), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 750 shared by dickinsonbeer. Estimated to be ~5 years old. Pours a beautiful deep orange wirh a small everlasting white head. Nose is earthy, fatome-like yeast, sourness. Flabor is similar with more chewy malts, and fantome house character. Very nice and interesting saison. I would expect nothing less from fantome.
BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Aug 12, 2008 75cl, exclusive brewery, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, yet easy to drink, balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, good Summer brew cab (709), Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Bottle.70cl. Light amber colored. Very tart, pepper, bitter and sour. Perhaps not one of my favorite Saisons but well made and enjoyable. Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Aug 4, 2008 A Sim rate (bottle at Chris O’s): Pepper, almost offensive except I like pepper. Stale oil. It’s that place on the corner of Clerkenwell Road that always smells of dodgy food. Bizarre reddish amber colour. Tastes of pepper sauce. I’m sure that beer is not supposed to taste like a sauce for a steak. Pepper. Pepper. Pepper. But wait, there’s more. It’s other spices too. Celery salt. In fact, it’s every spice that comes in Mrs Dash. I’m just not feelin’ it. harrisoni (5106), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 4, 2008 Bottle at Chris_o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. Now this beer split opinion. SilkTork and I thought it was not fantastic, but Doppelganger thought it was great. Woody salty and smells of paint. Very peppery. God that’s bad. Not infected, but it’s just not pleasant at all. Way too peppery. It’s not pleasant to drink.
