djrn (60), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Mar 9, 2008 This was my first beer from Fantome and it was amazing. The color of light hazy brown wasn’t to appealing but the flavor was fantastic.
Suttree (2404), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 29, 2008 Cloudy orange, big fluffy white head. Appley, peppery, white wine aroma. Huge flavor explosion. . It’s pointless to try to just list all the flavors - winey, fruity, peppery, I guess - but its amazing stuff. fordest (1857), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 750 ml bottle. Very nice wood and sweet sugar aromas off this beer. Hints of grass and flowers too. Flavor was a bit more spicy with some more sugar and sweet malts. Very good Saison Radek Kliber (3403), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 20, 2008 Bottle 750ml.
Appearance: heavy, thick layer of yeast sediment, large creamy top. Thick lace covering on tasting glass. Amber fill. Aroma: Light , meadow softness, herbal with grassy hay hints. Pleasant and very refreshing. Flavour/Palate: medium bodied, strong herbal funky theme. Quiet neat approach to style. Slight alcohol burn. Very good drinkable Saison.
brentfeesh (973), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Oct 27, 2008 750ml bottle. Lightly hazy with an amber color and huge head. Floral aroma with wood, malt and a touch of spice. The flavor is as good as any Fantome I’ve ever had. This one is a bit sweet with a tart fruit presence that allows the sweetness to come through without being cloying. Candy, malt and caramel in there as well. Medium body with a semi-dry tart finish. I’d get this again. EricE (287), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Oct 23, 2008 Orange pour with a thin white head and tons of yeast particles suspended. Sour citrus aroma with lots of funk and vinegar. Spicy clove flavor. Bitter and dry with yeast, lemon, and candy. A lot going on here.
