Draft sample at MBGF Summer08. Poured clear black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate & coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted dark chocolate flavor with medium bittersweet finish of short to moderate duration. Good complex beer.

2008 MiBGF: Opaque with a small frothy head. The aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate, roast, plum, pepper, and an earthy yeast character. The taste is very roasted and charred with a slight lacto sourness and chocolate undertone. The favors profile seems to peter out after awhile. The mouth feel is watery and thin. Drinkable enough.
