Pours a hazy orange with a n enormous creamy ivory head, Sheets of lace. Smell is fruity and citrusy. Yeasty and oungent. Pear aromas. Lightly spicy. Taste is lightly spicy up front. Followed by bitterness and light funkiness (brett?). Some subdued bitter herbal hops and earthiness. Dry, especially in the finish. Mouth is strangely creamy and dry. This is nice stuff. Pretty mellow but really tasty.

[Sampled at the Pre-GABF Babblefest 2004] An unclear dark orange beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with coriander standing out, but also with notes of yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, and spices.

Spice and sour nose with notes of lemon, pepper, pear, fig, bananas, yeast and barnyard. Good mouthfeel and depth with a pleasing sour acidity. Nice grassy hop bitterneess finish with lingering spice.

I don’t have too much to say about this beer other than it stood out at the Pizza Port 12 Hour Beglian Beer Party. Appearance is rather dark amber with tons of head. Smell... well, this is familiar and unusual... it smells exactly like brew day, any homebrewer would recognize this. Flavor is as worty as possible, I have never tasted anything that has gone through fermentation that tastes like this beer. This is really odd and interesting, its medium bodied and clings a bit to the palate. Not entirely sure how drinkable it is cause I had way too many samples prior to this one. Give it a whirl, especially if you brew!

This beer has an amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is little acid with a bitter afther tast.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy tangerine color with a gigantic head. Aroma is dusty with some dried citrus fruits. Taste is subdued. Starts somewhat tart of lemon and hops and then mellows out with malts and leather. Really smooth, as I drank the whole damn bottle.

Okay, this doesn’t look classic, it is honey colored, murky with a white head that rims the glass. Aroma is vinous, yeasty, horseblanket(funky), and slightly sweet. Flavor is fairly tart and vinious. Usually many of the Fantome’s are spicey this wasn’t.but it may have a lillte pepper. Finish is sweet and sour, you pick them.

This was a tasty beer that gave me some problems. My problems were all foam related. The head rose fast and kept on flowing until it was all over the table. Glass number two seemed to go pretty much the same way. It was a nice dark haze in the glass that tasted sweet and finished with a bit of hop to it. The smell was very sweet and sugary.
