Ungstrup (14756), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 16, 2005 [Sampled at the Pre-GABF Babblefest 2004] An unclear dark orange beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with coriander standing out, but also with notes of yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, and spices. omhper (12154), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 1, 2003 Bottled.
Orange coloured and cloudy. Very complex estery aroma, I get melon and bubblegum. Firm yet fruity, then a new sensation sets in, a hot cayenne pepper finish!?! joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 25, 2006 Hazy amber coloured with an off white head.
Light acidic aroma of fruits and spices.
Flavour of fruits and spices. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Sep 26, 2002 muddy beige, spicy, malty, cinnamon; vibrant palate; slight acidity; citric, wheaty, white pepper and earthy hops. Thank God I can’t taste the mustard seeds. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 14, 2005 Bottle at London Gathering Nov 2005. Orangey gold colour. Very sour. Some nice apple/lemon. Quite nice sourness, then a bit of funkyness. Quite nice. Will definitely see if I can get to the brewery. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Apr 4, 2004 Bottled (Helsinki Beer Festival 2004)
Orange, extreme hazy. Steady orange head. Aroma is fruits, malt, apples, citron, orange and chocolate box. Very dry and sour and unique taste. Mold and wood flavor. Peppery aftertaste. Certainly unique brew and one third of bottle was enough for me (cost only 5 euros!):) Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 5, 2006 Bottle. Orange colour with a big white head. Sweet fruity, spicy aroma and taste. Medium body with a dry finish. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Dec 28, 2002 Very nice stuff. Very earthy/barnyardy. Light mouthfeel, but with some complexity. Some candy sugared flavours like you find in a lot of Belgian Ales, this is at first a touch sweet, but then moves to a tart sour finish, its even a bit salty and spicy. Covers the palate nicely. 8% ABV, is un-noticable, a work of art.
