Bottle from DrewFace. Pours Amber with lots of head. Aroma is wierd, hint if smoke and maybe some yeast? Taste is smoke, sweet, and other off-putting flavors. This is not good, maybe a bad bottle considering the other reviews? Hopefully we haven’t drank the same beer.

75cl bottle, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear dark blond beer, small unstable off white head. NOSE: herbs, little hops, green malts. TASTE: herbs, malts, grains, little flat. Same herb combination again. Is this really 4,5% though? Tastes somewhat alcoholic...

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a cloudy orange-brown beer with a zesty, fruity, spicy flavour, earthy and vanilla notes followed by a sweet, slight tart and creamy finish. Excellent!

27/IX/13 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) or De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: n/a (2013-901)

Clear dark orange to red beer, aery off-white to beige head, little stable. Aroma: very fruity, sugary, caramel, bit spicy, grapes, apple skin, slightly sourish. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, little sour, apple skin, sweet and sugary as a main taste, little bitterness, fruity notes as well. Aftertaste: little bitter, very fruity, nice bitter hops, lots of citrus, feels alcoholic (which is pretty weird at 4.5%), sourish, sugary again, notes of caramel and toast at the end. A lovely beer, I tell you!

Sample @ Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2013. Hazy amber liquid with small white head. Aroma of bread, white pepper, black pepper, earth, barnyard, spices and grain. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of spices, black pepper, white pepper, bread and barnyard. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Not Fantôme’s best beer but still nice (if weird).
