Pours clearish yellow, white head, low retention. Aroma is strangely spicey, barnyardy, and fruity all at the same time. Flavor shows some grass, hay, barnyard, tropical fruit, and pepper. In great shape for being 4 or 5 years old.

Bottle @ DØE tasting, bought at Vinens Verden, Odense. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, citrus, yeasty and light barnyard. Flavor is quite sweet, light acidic and moderate bitter. Dry, light acidic and moderate bitter finish. 211112

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2012 Bottle, 75 cl. Cloudy golden with a small off-white head. Funky, fruity, herbal nose. Flavor is citusy fruitiness and funky offbeat spicey notes. Light barnyard fruit, light to medium bitter finish. Medium body, average to lively carbonation.

Served in a Fantome tulip. Pours a moderate golden color with a nice head. Slight melon and grassy character with a touch of lemon in the background. Very dry and a bit of acidity. Bit of stone fruit.

Comes to the table a slightly hazy yellow color with a smallish white head that shows moderate retention. Spicy peppery aroma dominates my nostrils and eventually is joined by a hint of funk and some light citrus fruits. The flavor is also spicy funky and peppery with bits of caramel and citrus thrown in there for good measure. Medium to light body with a spirited level of carbonation and a sweet zesty mouthfeel. This is a nice beer, I’m glad I got to try it, but it really wasn’t my favorite.

Pours a clear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with citrus and grapefruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness with notes of sweetness. Overall a good beer.

Pours folden with a white head. Aroma is malt, perfume, flower and pepper. Flavour is malt, citrus, peach, perfume, flower, spice and pepper.

A murky orange pour with a small off-white head. Opens with bread and caramel aromas followed by a strong citrus peel note. There’s a hint of lemon and a light tartness to it. Quite a bit of spice and a bit of a mustiness to it. The flavor is quite sweet, but still retains a nice funk character and a moderate spice.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, faint head. Funky citric winegum aroma. Quite dry and juicy with slender body. Intriguing flavours of tropical fruits, winegums and white pepper. Low bitterness. Nicely drinkable, funky full flavoured saison - typical Fantôme style.
