Commercial Description:
Once described as a Belgian Irish-style stout, Black Ghost has undergone lots of changes over the years. It now bears no resemblance whatsoever to a stout, and brewer Dany Prignon has begun adding spices to the beer. What they are is anybody's guess...the Fantôme confounds once again.

Bottle @ TheWolf, tasting. Pours deep dark brown with a small sprinkly head. Aroma and taste is full os spices such as pepper & more pepper. Dark fruits, chocolate, oak, tart/sour. Good mouthfeel. Exciting & a good product from fantome!!

Bottle @ thewolfs pre-festival tasting, Kolding.
[thank you skortila & caesar]
Pours deep brown with nearly no head. Aroma is lightly tart, good amount of raisins, light chocolate. Fine, lightly oily mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasingly tart fruity, light and balanced. Perhaps the aftertaste goes away a bit too fast. But again, Fantome delivers.

Thanks to Dave at By The Bottle for this brew! Poured a deep brown-grey body with a nonexistent head/ Spicy, peppery, smoky body. Peats, dry papery nose. Good, gripping, gritty mouthfeel. Some chocolate, oak, nut, vanilla, fruit, pepper flavors. Complex and ripe. Quite tasty. Thanks, Dave!

Bottle sampled. Pours deep brown with a thin off-white quickly disapating head. Aroma of spices, tart fruit, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is tart fruit, some chocolate, caramel, spices galore, a very interesting brew.

Pours a muddy brown color, reminiscent of homebrewed tea, with no head. Big, spiced aroma, cloves and peppermint. Thin body has an initial sourness that gives way to a biting, spiced finish, almost minty. Not a top notch Fantome offering, but good (and strange) nonetheless.

Flaske. Lige ud i vasken.

Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Dark dark brown - small white edges. Sour / Vinegar / Oude Bruin´/ Flamish Sour Ale / Bike-Glue - Aroma. Taste: Sweetness, sourness, chocolate, fruity, light peppery, earthy, vinoue, brown sugar, light syrup. Low low carbonated. Very nice - but needs some complexity.

Bottled. Dark brown coloured, no head. Sour nose, fruity, like a Flemish Sour Ale. Very sour fruity flavour, pretty thin though. I’m not sure if this one is supposed to be like this, but it resembles a sour ale. Not a very good one though.
