3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (7363) - Antwerpen, - NOV 18, 2012Very carbonated, fully hazy amberish orange beer under a huge, irregular yellow to orangeish head. Heated citrus, orangesauce, grains, pumpkin in the nose. Sharp toasted flavour, spicy & yeasty. Again some vegetable as pumpkin, heated; faintly bitterish with a vegetable-sweet underbuild. Finish has something smokey-sulphury, but not disagreable. Faint hints at clove, white pepper, horseradish and other dry spices. Warming up, however, a very clearly defined taste of liquorice appears, and truly as when chewing the wood. Sharpish MF, very spritzy, very slick and medium bodied; very faint alcoholimpression. Not unloveable, special (as expected...), but it is not one to keep drinking.

Bottle at CGarvie tasting. Master-exploder bottle! This sucker exploded all-over Mr Garvie’s house (sorry for bringing it!!!). It pours very cloudy pale orange-amber with a quickly disappointing head. The nose is earth, sweet pumpkin, butternut squash, spice, slurry and farmyard. The taste is earth, spice, pumpkin, sweet orange, farmyard and citrus edge. Medium body and low carbonation (after the explosion). Smooth and lightly fruity but definitely not worth the hassle!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Christian (9845) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2013
Cloudy golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with yeasty and herbal notes. Sweetish malty flavour with herbal and spicy notes, notable alcohol and a little too much yeast for my taste
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 BOLTZ7555 (2423) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Boo hoo hoo! Great example of an experiment gone bad! Popped the cork and a never-ending eruption of foam ensued. Once it slowed, a murky burgundy, plum, and chunky garnet streamed out of the bottle producing a milky plume of a head. Nose of tart cherry skin, bandaid, rubbing alcohol, barnyard, coriander, and citrus. Flavor is even more offensive with the before-mentioned present and adding rubber, asphalt, paint thinner, and unripened berries. Just not good...avoid like the plague!

Acquired at Hunger Mountain Co-Op for $20. opened at 65F to a gigantic gusher (it’s sat upright in my cellar since October without being disturbed). I lost 24 ounces of this beer onto my effing wood floor so the price per ounce of this beer is $10 per ounce.. what a jerk. Honestly, after the 5 sciences saison was flat, and now this? What a waste of money. I’m not buying Fantome anymore.
A - The haziest, murkiest most disgusting looking peach beer every with a 1 finger head (murky because all of the yeast sediment previously at the bottom of the bottle went everywhere during the gush)
S - Lots of pepper and cloves. Slightly funky with a hint of tangerine.
T - easily the spiciest beer I’ve ever had. Hint of Jello-gelatin pieces. loads of spices, cloves and coriander. some earthiness and funk. Quite a bit of citrus
M - Medium body, medium carbonation
O - Fantome Boo is drinkable for Fantome beers. I’ve had 1 good Fantome beer ever. the rest were not good. that good one was Extra Sour. I’m done buying these beers.

Bottle @ Delirium, Brussels.
Pours muddy orange with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, spicy, peppery, light vinious. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is dry, sweet, peppery, grainy. Well balanced even if is a tad on the sweet side.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cgarvieuk (11107) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 28, 2013
bottle at home... 90% EXPLODED all across the roof and walls, basically redecorated my Kitchen . hazy murky yellow ... soft funky harse blanket ... sweet oily fruits ... oilt frutis ... zezty orange ... big citrus orange ... juicy ... well i like it... well i like the flavour ... i dont like the redecoration
It didnt so much gush as explode.
90% of the beer left the bottle in less than 2 seconds.
No one actually say any beer leave the bottle. As we saw was the effect. It hit the roof and them boundec off in a radius of about 3 foot.
ive seen load of bottles gush where you can see the beer foam out for 4-5 seconds but nothin even close to the explosive emptying of the bottle
I think were lucky Fantome use the bottles they do and even then im surprised teh bottle did actually go boom
