| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2007 2004 bottle - Golden color with a smaller, but pillowy white head. Aroma is sweet with some citrus, light grains, herbs, and a faint hop aroma. Flavor is lighter and smoother than most Fantomes, but the heavier hop flavor still remains. Lots of grain, some flower and grass, a bit of spice and citrus/light summer fruits. This must have been better when fresh. Nice one from Fantome - a bit more mainstream and less funky than most of their beers. A nice summertime Saison. jrob21 (1257), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Aw yeah, think I’m going to focus on fantome beers the rest of the summer. Clear golden color with lots o’ bubbles. Sour, pungent, citrus aroma. Leather flavor and bitter backside. Crisp, light bodied, quick finish, refreshing. hophead75 (1954), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2007 750. Pours a hazy light orange in color with a huge off white head and somewhat heavy carbonation. Aroma: citrus, and lemon zest, yeasty, lighty tart and funky with alot of floral character and light notes of skunk. Taste is some yeast funk along with orange and lemon zest, spicy, musty, with a spicy and lightly hopped bitter finish. I am sure this once was more bitter. if it wasn’t for the lightly skunky aroma, this would have been great. Still pretty enjoyable, taste did not have nearly as much skunky character. waolsen (1222), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2007 bottle. hazy golden/orange with small cappachino style white head. white grapefruit rine, orange, herbal, big malt and strange spice aroma. sour grapefruit is dominant. earthy hops, orange malts. nice bitterness in back of palate. seemed a bit flat. unique. I was a little let down after the aroma and appearance. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2007 This is my favorite offering from this brewery. I prefer the heavily hopped, well-attenuated interpretation of saison over the spice teas that are usually done by this brewery. This one has a nice aromatic and palate dryness that makes it dangerously drinkable at 8% ABV. Before I knew it, I was at the end of the bottle and craving some more. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2007 I pretty much detest any belgian beers that aren’t triples, quads, or strong ales. However, this one i actually enjoyed quite a bit. Flowery but surprisingly sweet. I can’t really remember much more. the description was pretty awesome. GRM (1253), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Updated: Feb 25, 2008750ml, i have no idea the date. pours a hazy golden with white head. nose has ctirus, mild hops, biscuit, flowers, and saw dust. flavor again is a little saw dusty, herbal, citrus, a touch of biscuit and caramel, and dandelions. perhaps this was once a bitter beer but at this point it’s not, and the flavor profile leaves a lot to be desired. no doubt trying a fantome beer for the first is always a mystery but this isn’t one of my favorites of theirs. alc is well hidden. finishes dry and dusty with a touch of sour. mouth feel is full and perfect. enjoyed.3.5.
2/24/08, 750ml bottle, thanks to xnoxhatex for sharing. i think I enjoyed this a lot more because I wasn’t expecting it to be that great. it was mellow more straight forward saison with fantome’s unique yeast/house character. really tasty.3.8.
