COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian ’saison-style’ ale brewed with cocoa powder and chili pepper? Ay, Caramba! Score another first for the unpredictable brewery that was the first -- and so far the only - brewery to make ales out of dandelions and mushrooms, among other things.

An unclear amber beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast, oranges, and wheat. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of yeast and oranges, with some floweryness in the end. The body is thin. I cannot pick up any chocolate in this beer - weird.

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy amber golden with floating impurities and a gigantic, off-white head. Vaguely malty nose. Full-bodied and malty body - but absolutely no traces of the chocolate. A very drinkable Fantome this time, which unfortunately is not always the case (but for some reason the beers always seem to improve immensely when crossing the Atlantic...) 270106

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge bobbly white head. Brett-ish dry aroma with a mild acidic note, very very minor chocolate note. Flavour is smooth yeasty without much flavour but some mild malt and yeast. I don’t pick up any chocolate in the flavour. Decent brew, yet not with anything that would warrent a re-try of this.

Bottled. Reddish brown colour with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity with some slight acidic notes. Also a bunch of barnyard, earth and spices. Flavour is very sour fruits with some rather acidic notes also. Some spices, earth and grass also. I don’t find any chocolate in this one, but oh well, it’s twisted in a Fantomeian way.

Bottled. Cloudy amber. Yeasty, grassy nose. Fairly sweet and generously malty, with an attractive soft mouthfeel. Well hopped and slightly oily. Hop bitter finish. A good beer, but I don’t get any chocolate.

Cloudy amber color. Smells like rubberband, soma malt. Quite malty brew, sweet, correct bitterness, good… Where is the chocolat?
