Commercial Description:
A very dark and entirely unique holiday seasonal beer, at a whopping 10% alc. by volume. Reportedly spiced with honey, caramel, coriander, black pepper, and other secret ingredients. The alcohol content probably goes a long way toward explaining that very warm and satisfied feeling one finds on the very first sip. A rich, dark-flavored beer with lots of deep-roasted chocolate malt, but still fairly dry, with a hint of sourness at the core. It is very spicy, with some winter spruce flavor in the bargain. The wild yeast sourness also adds to its welcoming character.

Bottle from CaptainCougar. hazy brown. Domw floaties. Nice tan head fades slowly to ring the edge. Aroma is sweet and malty. Slight hints of "funky" yeast/bacteria. Nice sweet malt flavor, fruity. The wild flavors come through in the end. Slightly yeasty. Nice.

Thanks to Wohlfs for the sample. Pours ruby brown with little head. Strong grape aroma. Flavor is everywhere with grape being dominant. Also had a woody sour yeast flavor to it. Very nice overall.

Sour, tart dark skin fruit aroma. Prune juice appearance with a tan head. Complex flavor that developes as you drink it. The spice is subtle and overshadowed by the sour flavor. Thin in body. Alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle from premier. Poured a dark brown colour with a large pale tan head. The aroma is sour and spicy. The flavour is wonderfully complex. It is spicy, sour and has strong woody flavours. There is also a otuch of sweetness.

Bottle: Aromas of tart grapes with some other fruit. Real cloudy reddish-orange with a small tan head. Sweet flavor with grapes and fruit. A little raisin in the finish and a little sourness. Slight apple too.

Dark in color, aroma of grapefruit and spices. Very tart in taste. Not bad as a winter warmer.

Pours dark brown with a fizzy cola like head that vanishes fairly fast. Belgianesque aroma with that farmy smell mixed in there. Very sour taste, spicey. Low hop falvor. Fruity, very sour finish.

Chestnut brown with huge tan head. Aroma sweet, citrus, caramel, funk. Taste is sweet/sour with caramel and malt. Finishes tarty sweetness on the roof of my mouth, making my mouth water and encouraging another sip.
