A very dark and entirely unique holiday seasonal beer, at a whopping 10% alc. by volume. Reportedly spiced with honey, caramel, coriander, black pepper, and other secret ingredients. The alcohol content probably goes a long way toward explaining that very warm and satisfied feeling one finds on the very first sip. A rich, dark-flavored beer with lots of deep-roasted chocolate malt, but still fairly dry, with a hint of sourness at the core. It is very spicy, with some winter spruce flavor in the bargain. The wild yeast sourness also adds to its welcoming character.

75cl Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Clear copper-Amber colour, off white head. Looks nice. Aroma is spicy, yeast, warming, alcoholic, malts, honey, light vinous, wood, lots of stuff in there. Flavour of amber malts, spices, honey, yeast, plastic, alcohol, ligh fruity, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

75cl bottle. Pours somewhat clear, orange amber with a big, white head. Aroma is wheaty with both fruit and some pilsner malts, but still some funky saison yeast. Taste has a pleasant, wheaty sweetness, slight caramel, and ends off yeasty and dry, but is overall mostly grainy and pretty sweet. Alcohol very well hidden. Medium carbonation and medium body.

2013 bottle from belgiuminabox. Pours rather clear, dark blonde. Ok white head. Smell is fantome spicyness ( withoud the usual dyacethyl and infections) , saison-dryness, grainy and some spices ( earthy onea, kinda like speculoos) . Taste is bit bitter, very spicy / slightly soapy. Aromatic ( ginger?) aspects. Grainy, bit coca cola like spicyness as well. Intereatingly different, yet the fantome is easy recognizable in this one. Ok as it is, and one of the only ones i drank from him this old withoud any disturbing sidenotes.

Huge light brown head. Bottle from systembolaget sweden. The aroma resembels a fine oak aged Bordeau with a spicy tuch. Sweet caramell taste blended with a bit of honey and woody spices. Full body and very enoyable.
