Thanks to Huhzubendah for opening this one at the Fantome tasting. Served in a Fantome tulip. Pours a hazy light golden color with a short white head. Light lacing. The nose has a very strong oregano component with some grain behind that. Not much though. Basically just the oregano with a bit of other spice. Flavor isn’t quite as heavy on oregano. Light body. Strange, but good.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2012 From a 750ml green bottle with crown cap and cork. Many thanks to Patrick. Apperance: Orange beer with a tiny white foam. A small ring around the glass. Smell: Aromas of honey mead are perceptible. Some rancio and oxidation. Taste: Some spices and acidity. The oxidation is way too present. Mouthfell: Medium-bodied and easy drinking. Overall: This beer is going downhill. It had better days.

Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Some floaties. Aroma of hops, malt, quite herbal, oregano. Sweet herbal flavour, light bitter. Finish clashing herbal oregano with citrus tones.

bottle @ RBBWG 2012 thanks to Sebletitje. Hazy blond yellow coloured beer with almost no carbonation and a small white head. Spicy and heavy oregano infused herby aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is herby. Oregano is comming through clearly. Longer dry herby ending with only some small bitter sweet touches. Alternative brew.

Heavily lightly blond body with a white frothy head. Aroma of smoke, spices, flowers - not very appealing. Moderately bitter flavour; bit weak.

Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, pepper and spices. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter and light sour. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

750ml bottle. The pour yields a mostly clear, very lightly hazy, dark golden colored body. A thin, foamy, off-white blanket settles on the surface, leaving behind some splotchy, spotty, wet lacing. The nose is based in well-attenuated amber candy sugar and cereal malt, with notes of tart, lemony yeast and distant green herbal notes. The flavor follows suit, not as heavy on the oregano as one might think, but showing a bit. Again, amber candy and cereal grain are sufficiently dried by the herbal yeast, which flirts with tartness at times. The palate is standard Fantôme fare, moderate in body and relatively light on carbonation, showing substance, but also ample attenuation. Good brew.

14/I/2012 75cl bottle @ RBBWG 2012 - BB: II/12 (2012-33) Thanks to sebletitje for bringing the bottle!

Cloudy blond to beige beer, small white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit of pizza, lots of citrus, cleaning product, bit grassy. MF: good carbon, light to medium body. Taste: oregano is very present, citrus notes, bitter orange marmelade, spices and herbs. Aftertaste: citrus, fresh cut grass.
