COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fantome's winter offering, available December through March or so. Brewer Dany Prignon changes his receipes every year, so we can't so for sure what this year's beer will be like, but it is sure to please lovers of Dany's beers.

Pretty good. A bit weak on aroma but has a nice solid taste. Nachbar during rain storm.

2016/05/04 - Pours a cloudy amber brown colour with a thin, soapy, off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is yeast, light banana esters, spice, herbal/floral hops, orange peel and a hint of caramel. Tastes is sweet bread, yeasty esters (mainly banana), orange peel, dark fruits, caramel, spices and herbal hops. Mouthfeel is medium to full with light carbonation and a clean, drying finish. Not my favorite saison from Fantôme, but still very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle chaired at omhper, thanks. Lasting dark beige head. Amber color. Mild but complex aroma. Caramell taste with a low sweetness.

March 5, 2016. Bottle.
Light hazy amber with a minimal white head. Aroma is light sweet toffee, some esters, bubblegum, slight spicy, hints of pear. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter. Finish is slight apple, spicy, grass, earth, quite dry with hints of alcohol. Medium bodied, average carbonation.

75cl bottle. From the other ratings and comments I think there is a huge variability in this beer or brewery. My beer is light brown and almost flat. Aroma is spicy, nutty, yeasty, caramel. It is cloyingly sweet, very much so. I could not finish my glass.

4-ish oz pour on draft at The Sovereign’s grand opening. Courtesy of Greg, thanks! Per Greg, this was a fairly fresh batch before age got to set in. Hazy amber with beige head. Aromas of earthy notes and citrus. Tastes of earthy notes, citrus, funk, floral notes, caramel. Medium body with a dry finish.

stevoj (3771) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Bottle from Boise Co-op. Poured into Duvel tulip, muddy dark amber/orange, with adequate creamy head. Saison herbal aromas beefed up with some savory spices, and some malt evident. Taste follows with the spices taking more of the center stage, not overpowering, but wonderfully accenting the normal saison flavors. Body a bit thicker than normal, but can feel the effervescence.

From a bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a fizzy white head. Tastes like tart dried fruits, light herb, pear, and lemon. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like pear, herbs, buscuit malt, and honey.

sonnycheeba (4919) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 15, 2016
Bottle. Pours clear amber (when carefully poured given the amount of sediment in the bottom of the bottle). Aroma is toasted and caramel malts, spices, fresh bread, orange peel, and faint booze. Flavor is malty and spicy up front with some nice floral hop notes, and touch of alcohol spice, faint citrus, and a nice dry finish. Medium body.

Bottle shared. Murky brown with fluffy beige head. Dried apricot, lemon grass, bitter lime peel, caramel, brown bread, maple syrup, ginger, more lemony herbs, Fantome yeast. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite nice.
