Bottle. Unclear orange with a medium sized diminishing white head. Spicy and perfumy nose, a bit intimidating. Flavour is dominated by christmas spices, which I hate, with cloves and coriander being most dominant. Otherwise it’s a bit doughy, fruity and has a nice soft and filling mouthfeel. Medium sweet, little bitterness, soft carbonation. So there is something to like about it, but nothing that can justify all the awful spices.

Pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is acidic, peppery, spicy and yeasty. What on earth is this made of? Flavour is complex spicy, light bitter, medium sour and wood. I just love these guys at Fantome. They make the liveliest beers.

Bottle. Clear gold with a big white head with visible active carbonation. Bottle is slightly skunked unfortunately but not a total disaster. Aroma is lightly skunked, saison yeast, honey and oat. Taste is heavy on the honey to start. Strong malt base in the middle with orange peel in the finish. Medium body and carb. Will look to try again to find a bottle not ruined by the green glass.

Bottle @ 2nd Tuesday Tasting. Pours a murky, dark golden beer with a very small white head on top. Aroma is slightly peppery, horse blanket and has some wild yeast bacteria going on. Flavor is light sour, funky and fairly acidic. Short, peppery aftertaste. Schoolbook example of the style, not much more going on.

Sample at the molen monthly tasting. Very thin white head. Hazy amber pour. A lovely drinkable saison

ThirstyBird (1454) - Düsseldorf, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2014
Pours a bright, cloudy orange color with a tan head. The smell is spice, rich malt, spruce. The taste is tangy fruit, caramel, mint with a crisp, dry aftertaste. The body is medium and oily with very nice carbonation. Interesting stuff and pretty tasty.

75cl, one of the worst beers I have ever tasted, probably infected, over carbonated...only for americans!
