4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from brewdog bar, Sheffield. Slightly misty amber ale with a small white head. Aroma is bread and lemon. Taste is malty and slight sour, also has a tongue tingle from dryness and alcohol. Carbonation is mild and body oily. Very nice.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Purchased in Vermont. Pours a cloudy golden-amber with loads of chunky sediments floating through it. Foamy warm cap, big, still coming out of the bottle, long lasting and foaming the rim. Aromas of sourness (almost vinegary), weird yeasty and a little fruitiness. The taste is like plastic, with the hops that might be chemicals, more than grassy natural. Spices showing on the head, that is about the nicest thing of this brew. This bitter plastic feel is not good. Not a fan.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fruitiness in the aroma is high along with a slight sour aroma. Moderate amount of spice in the aroma as well. Appearance is a cloudy orange with large white head. Flavor is a combination of fruit esters, spice character and some tartness. Malt has some notes of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with high carbonation and is smooth. Overall, a refreshing beer.

Couleur orange clair. Nez brett, presque fromage. Beaucoup (trop) de malt caramel. Mais quand même sèche. Amertume faible à moyenne avec un final marqué par les brett.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
75 cl bottle. BBE
Pours hazy orange color with a small head. Lots of spices and apricot on the nose, some citric fruits too, yeast and mild herbal notes. Spicy flavor with citric fruits, yeast, some wood and grapefruits. A bit messy Saison, but gets slightly better towards the end. Somewhat sour palate, dry citric finis. Weird but decent spicy brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
75 cl bottle @ olio. Batch #13, BBE 2016
Aroma is heavy and sweet with some citrus, funky yeastiness, apricot and fruit candy. Flavour has citrus juice, some apricot and spicy tones. Also some alcohol. Fantôme touch is present here. The citrus notes are too tart for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
75cl Bottle, I guess 2013 version. Hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma is sour, acidic, light floral, yeast, light fruity. Flavour is sour, acid, tiny hint of spice, malts, yeast, floral, citrus, bitter finish. Sour lingers a bit. Light to medium-bodied. It’s refreshing in a way, but I didn’t really dig the sourness, too sharp.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013 version; pours orange amber with massive white foam, quite cloudy once the yeast is poured. Surprisingly hoppy aroma yet not in a sharp way thanks to the yeast and spices.
Taste is a blend of spices (not overdone), medium hoppy and citrussy bitterness balanced with smoothing yeast, slightly sour, more spicy in the aftertaste reminiscent of black pepper. Quite some alcoholic warmth. Great and different take on a Winter beer, very tasty, sufficiently complex and an overall balanced result.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer is a deep shade of gold. Smallish white head. It’s fairly hazy, though I guess I didn’t keep the bottle settled as well as I possibly could have. The aroma is fruit and spice on top of a rich saison base. There’s apricots and raisins with orange zest, pepper and mint. Mild caramel. Cinnamon. A healthy dose of Fantome funk. Some banana. A little bit of green apple. It’s a fun mix. Taste starts out with fruity sweetness, mostly orange and banana. Pepper and cinnamon lend a little sharp kick. Fairly dry, kinda sweet woodsy finish. Full mouthfeel. Not too much carbonation. It’s a rich saison that actually seems to fit the winter season.
