Odd one, had with Sammy and crushinator. some decent foam, good carbonation, nose is musty with belgian spicces and strong yeast, a little off maybe not sure latsa malts and spices in the flavor but odd astringent aftertaste, almost think the bottle is a little past, not sure though. Odd one

750mL bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours a murky amber color with golden edges; thin light-tan head with patchy lacing. Lots of fruitiness and floral notes in the aroma; plenty of herbal characteristics (basil, thyme, touch of pepper); complex, dry floral nose; some sweetness at the core. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy floral notes, white pepper, and bready / Belgian sugar at the core; slightly relaxed carbonation; complex yeastiness and loads of floral character; dry, yeast, floral goodness. Medium finish: dry breadiness, Belgian sugars, and lingering floral notes.

Crushinator’s bottle. Pours cloudy with incredible white head bubbles. Really funky aroma, beyond farmyard, smells like a wild ale. Good mouthfeel but bitterness, with some old orange rind astringency and funkiness making it not that desireable to drink.

Courtesy of arcdz. Cloudy amber body with a large beige head. Doughy, floral nose with light caramel and hay. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with cookie dough, herbal hops, flowers, light citrus and light vanilla. Medium body is very soft with light carbonation.

Hazy amber with a rocky head. Nice grassy, spicy hop aroma with dry pale malts, and a bit of funky yeast, lots to smell . Frothy, expanding mouthfeel. A mainly dry flavor- starts with a faint caramel sweetness, then turns to dusty pale malts with dry hay and dry spicy hops. Subtle, complex flavors here with a very light sourness in the finish. A most awesome Saison !

from crackedkettle.com - shows a cloudy orange colour with a stable firm, slightly beige foam; aroma of oranges, cloves and sage; citric; smooth and slightly fizzy; medium malt body, fairly sweet; the finish is moderately dry and leaves long fruity and spicy notes - original as always from this brewery

Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ - courtesy of blankboy. Golden, slightly cloudy, with a small white head. Aroma - funky, peppery, and a bit of urine, but oddly it’s not unappealing. Flavour is NOTHING like the aroma - OK, maybe a little bit - but it tastes like slightly funky tangerine juice. Huh. Very strange beer, but I think I liked it.

750 after another great Fantome experience last night I broke out this one and and shared it with my girlfriend Cyn. This was a gusher. Pours dark orange with a tan head. Nose is really nicely spiced with a bit of black pepper and citrus. Sweet bright and spiced with bits of caramel and lots of nice pepper. Nice Saison.
