Bottle shared by Alraomon. One of the most beautiful beers I’ve seen in a while. Reddish brown color with lots of tiny black floaties suspended in the beer, seeming to move with a mind of their own and also content just to stay still. Aroma of funk and a peppery spice. Taste is caramel, citrus and the same peppery spice. Very interesting and very, very nice.

bottle. Pours amber, reddish in some light, with medium head. Beautiful lacing. Aroma of yeast, sweet maltiness and spice. Flavor is really quite sweet and bready with some nice spice over the tongue. Mouthfeel is pretty full and creamy. Delightful beer.

Bottle @ ORL throwdown, courtesy of redlight. Huge off-white head tops a dark amber body. This is a really non-standard Fantome. No funk discernible. It seems more like a Belgian strong. Spicy, sweet, bready/doughy and lots of yeast aroma. Sweet with caramel malt and a bit of spice, hay, and more non-wild yeasts. Well-carbed, creamy mouthfeel that lifts the sweetness well. Manages to finish a touch dry, don’t know how that happened with the big sweetness. Not what I was expecting from a new Fantome brew at all, but it is quite good!

750ml bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and hazed amber color with floaties. Aroma is light/medium malt, medium fruit-orange, spicy/pepper, bubble gum, yeast. Taste is plenty of light/medium malt-caramel, smooth, secondary medium fruit-orange, spicy/pepper, bubble gum, yeast, touch of alcohol. OK carbonation. Nice mouth feel. Finishes dry. Occasional. Thanks to jwc215(BA) for sharing.

Sunny, hazed amber pour with a wispy, tanned white crown. Wholly sweet aroma; dried cherries, though distinguishable from the brittle bretty lead they usually give, pears, and rotten apples. Warmer moments of vanilla, sugar cookies, and dried caramel. Not much dustiness or funkiness, more commonly digging into several varieties of unripened sweetness, and growing somewhat green after a while; very grassy and fresh, but still sweet, something like a white sugar glaze on a freshly cut avocado. Rather unmistakably young right now. The complexity is there, but the intrigue isn’t.

Flavor is a creamy, sweet, sprightly affair of bananas, vanilla, and cinnamon browned apples; very dense and warm at first with a lot of young estery yeast qualities, floral honey, and generally very sweet doughiness. Some sweet leafy spices cut it somewhat; basil and maybe tarragon; and a fairly basic, sugary alcohol flavor leans in mid palate. These characteristics are strikingly similar but better defined and better executed than the aroma might have suggested.

Yeast lends a glowing tropical fruit touch that permeates both aroma and flavor; some passion fruit and golden kiwi dusted bitterly with dandelion residue, lemon zest and minerals. Generally a more lush, textured sweetness at this point. Lightly mildewy, sweaty funk creeping in, especially in the nose.

Juicy, creamy, consistently heavy palate rubbing the mouth with a dried out adhesive feeling amplified by alcohol. Finishes long with white grape, pear skin and adhesive like bitterness. An enormously interesting offering as always. I’d love to revisit this in two years. Thanks Joshua!

My bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’. Pours a hazy golden-orange with an average size frothy white head. Aroma: Wow, that’s odd! Sweet and spicy pee -- in a good way. Flavour: Man, this is one weird beer -- sweet, spicy and funky Kool-Aid -- or something like that. Medium bodied. I like it -- it’s incredibly odd, but I like it.

Semi cloudy glowing yellow orange. Smell is nice and fruity with a touch of funky yeast in there playing along with the big orange notes. Flavor is spiced fruit and is sweet and unique. A touch on the cotton side for the palate - but an interesting beer all together. Nicely carbonated, and has a nice clean finish.

I think this is courtesy Redlight. Pours out brown with a thin white head. Grapefruit citrus, black pepper aroma. Thick malty citrus, orange peel taste with a hint of black pepper spice. Orange peel spice finish. Very nice.
