Bottle: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a frothy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of grassy, lightly sweet pale biscuity malts with some mild citrusy hops. Body starts lightly sweet with some doughy Belgian malts and earthy grassy hops along with some mild citrusy tartness before a drier earthy finish. An interested and well-balanced/drinkable brew.

75cl bottle: Thanks to Dany P for the bottle! Dark hazy orange-amber with moderate creamy light peach head. Main aromas of caramel, bread, and citrus. Yeast, a "green spice" and a low level of metal come in behind. In the far back is something wild, almost lactic that fights for position with a muddled dark mixed spice note. Flavor is sweeter than expected. Sweet malt blends into bread smothered in orange marmalade. The marmalade then continues to transform into lemon and yeast towards the middle. Finishes with tea, orange, "greenery" and just a faint touch of metal. Nice beer but it could finish a little drier.

Hazy orange-amber color with a medium-lg head. Aroma dominated by some tropical and citrus fruit, yeast, and some slightly spicy funk. Flavor is surprisingly sweet and sugary - lots of fruit and a nice dose of spice and sweet grains. Finishes well. One of the better Fantomes I’ve had.

Dr. Bill’s tasting. Poured a hazy amber color with a large off-white head. Mildly sweet and fruity aroma with a yeasty spice note. Lightly sweet to start with a sweet malty middle. Yeasty and spicy toward the finish. Semi-dry with a medium body and lively mouthfeel.

Bottle and served in my NB Worthy glass (thanks Brenton): 1st a slight rant, I found the cap hard to remove, much more than most Fantôme beers which then caused my bottle to have a minor gusher and yeast to be distributed throughout.

The appearance is a cloudy orangey amber hue with a fading fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of musty yeast, herbal and grassy vapours, sugar and toasty malt, banana and tangerine, ginger, cardamom, and grains of paradise as well.

The taste has an initial acidic and fruity character before leading off towards a very yeasty and malty sweet midsection. The finish has notes of muddled spice and herbs with some hop bitterness. The mouth feel is sharp and somewhat aggressive with a dry chalky finish.

Far too sweet and malty in comparison to the normal Saisons from Dany (I fact I am not to sure this should not be listed as a BSA). One of Fantôme’s weakest offerings. Still would like to try a re-rate just to make sure.

750 from Oak Tree, split two ways. Lightly hazy amber in color with some yeast floaties and a large off white head. Aroma: sweet caramel and citrus, yeasty- estery and phenolic, musty basement, spices, and some signature Fantome funk. Taste is sweet for a fantome beer with caramel sweetness, but on the other hand, it has notes of tart fruit, yeast, basement, light funk, earth which more than balances it out. Finishes with tea, spices, tart fruit, and sweet malt in the finish. Very unique, and works for me in a weird way, like some of their other releases.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy golden amber body with a thick off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, floral, barnyard, herbs, tea, black pepper, light citrus, and pineapple. Flavor of leather, citrus, apple, earthiness, and various herbs (oregano being the most prevalent) with a semi-dry finish.

Bottel @ Dr Bills. Cloudy orange pour with a light head. Smells strong and slightly wild/sour. Highly carbonated. One strange and tasty brew!
