Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Ambery golden colour with big white fluffy head that vanishes into a mediumsized creamy/bubbly thing. Some lace. Aroma is orange, peach, spices (a.o. pepper) as well as quite earthy. Flavour is fruityness, some barnyard, toffee, cream and mild notes of yeast and spices. Very well balanced brew. Long aftertaste of yeast, fruits and mild notes of spices.

This saison pours an orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, yeasty and sweet. Lots of orange and peach. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity (peaches and orange) and sweet. Spicy and yeasty. The spices balance the sweetness nicely. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and yeasty.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
Bright golden brown with a thin white head. Swwet and fruity aroma with plenty of yeast and some pleasant alcohol notes. Flavour wise it’s typical Fantome madness. Tastes like kids sweets really. Like the sherberty sourness you get in ’love hearts’ or ’parma violets’. Chalky and fruity at the same time. Very interesting and enjoyable.

750 ml bottle. Pours a nice medium to deep coppery amber with a nice frothy off white head- some lace. Aroma isn’t really the typical fantome yeasty character you get with more fantomes- more spice, grassy notes, weird herbal and lemony hops, some citrus and green peppercorn hints. Flavor is light pale malts, some toast, but more herbs, spices, lemon grass hints, light olive/caper notes, and a spicy phenolic finish. Seemed extra dry even for a fantome- totally unique beer even for them. Good stuff here, but not mind blowing.

Pours a burnt-orange copperish color with a dense, cloudy body. A massive, billowing, tan colored head settles quickly to a thin, rocky layer, soapy lacing running back down the glass. The aroma shows that signature Fantôme minty yeast, with herbal tea notes, sweet and sour white fruits, candy sugar, and some spicy pepper. Flavors include cinnamon dusted sour apples, caramelized sugar, musty, bready yeast, peppery spice, and some lemongrass-mint. The palate is substantial for a Fantôme, perhaps the fullest bodied example I’ve had to date. Carbonation is ultra-fine but lively, and the finish is dry, as expected. I really enjoyed this beer. It is Fantôme through and through, but it definitely represents a very different approach in many senses.

Cloudy golden with medium white head. Sourish aroma with spicy notes. Sour flavor with lemon, spicy and a dry end.

Muddy brown pour. Very aromatic; with lots of yeast and spice. Slightly sour apple flavor. A little too much spice and phenols for my liking. still its a solid beer
