Pours cloudy golden color with no head. Aroma of spices, citrus fruits, yeast and apricot, mild honey notes also. Flavour of apricot, spices, strong lemon and yeast. Has some faint mead-like elements. The citrus seems to get stronger with the age as does the spicyness.

Aroma has lots of citrus, some urinal cake and earthy notes. Flavour is sour and somewhat acidic with lots and lots of citrus. Also some urinal cake, earthy notes and hints of peppery spices.
When this came to Gastropubs, I had a fresh bottle of this. Since that the citrus aromas have grown even more stronger.

Pours hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma is lemons and malts. Flavor is sour malts and lemon. Very interesting saison.

ChrisOs ’Donkey Dork Lord’ Pre-GBBF Tasting. Hazy gold beer, tiny white head. Light crisp palate. Tangy lemon. Tastes like an Imperial Shandy! Slightly sour with seltzer like minerals. Well joined up tasty beer.

Bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Hazy yellow color. Strong lemony, herbal and peppery aroma. Tart lemon totally dominates the flavor but this is nevertheless quite enjoyable.

Super yeasty, right from the get-go. Sour and sharp both in the aroma and taste. Yet strangely, also mellow. Mellow but sharp - what a mysterious synergy. That’s why I love Fantome - you never know what they’ll come up with next!

Almost lemonadey aroma. Given the taste, I can see why - certainly a very melony body. It’s nice and crisp without yeast, but I actually prefer the fuller body of the yeastier glass. Lemon aids the sharpness, but this time detracted from the beer.

Unclear - hazy medium matt yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy citrus - lemon - soap. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, lemon, spicy, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110730]
