Bottle @ Scott’s Summer Saison tasting. Thanks so much Scott! Milky, cloudy orangish brown appearance with a small tan head. Somewhat oxidized, bready, light fusel, somewhat spicy, dark fruity aroma. Orange, dark berry, tangy, somewhat sour, bready, light cardboard flavor. Maybe peaked a little white back but still fun.

Hazy golden pour. Taste is lemon citrus with some breads and grain. Very light fruits on the palate. Rated 2/12/05

me mates thought it like a tasteless cider. Beige yellow. My mature tastebuds found it a very good yeast preparation. In the yeast peach, lemon, celery. Good with spicy veggies.

Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A hazy golden coloured beer with a wispy white head. The aroma is funky and peppery typical of the style. The taste is funky with lemony and peppery notes. Funky, interesting and very tasty. Cheers Joe.

Hazy light orange with a white head. Soft nose of some spices, wheat, oranges, coriander. A dullness appears mid drink, but disappears into an orange peel, grapefruit and wheat flavor, with a slightly fizzy palate though a bit thin and a light sweetness throughout. Decent.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2004 This pastoral storyteller, fond of yeasty bonds and orange juice ponds, feels like a product of pure oral tradition coupled with a sane dose of delirium...The tintinnabulation of truthful coriander rides atop the fabulation of boastful citric acid...He even confides that grains of paradise grew plentiful in these humid, damp soils not long ago...He has a silver tongue which has the power to influence and propel with a panoply of audacious affability and gracious quaffability... Some bottles can get very foamy though and the uberfluffy feel tends to mask these munificent flavors...

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2004 Re-rate June 5, 2004. Very cloudy golden colour, with big fluffy head. Some bubblegum sweetness in the aroma. Subtle and reserved with a bit of licorice or anis in the background. 7/3/7/3/15 Initial rating: Feb 1, 2004 Big acidic sour aroma, notes of sour cherries? Complex notes of fruit. There is more here than I am capable of pulling out of it as my palate was dominated by the lingering acidity. Quite pleasant. medium Body. 7/3/7/3/17

I’m as excited about this one as my last college 3-way (circa 1991). Big thanks to beeryum for popping my Fantome cherry. Pours hazy dark straw with gargantuan white head. Aroma of malt, bread, hopcit, perfumy florals, pears and apricots....nice complex aroma. Tastes malty, fruity, crisp and smooth with multi-layered complexity of flavor. The finish does seem a bit tart and one-dimensional.

Dull orange coulour, yeast in suspension. Thick deposit on bottom. Orangey head, too. Yeast and spices whilst pouring. Fresh citrussy smell. Taste is at first fresh citrussy, going over orange rind to bitter herbs, shrubbery. Finer finish, tingling. I cannot find much malt - or body for that matter. Very refreshing, yes - the taste and carbonation help. The whole character is directed towards a summer ale - which is probably why the label shows an Ardennes snowscape... or it wouldn't be Prignon for real.

Bottle. Primarily a musty aroma with fruit tones. Orange yellow with large, quick collapsing head. Light apple juice flavor transitioning to a musty, dry flavor - very much dry wine-like. A nice drier saison.
