I know a lot of people who like this beer, but for me, it’s far too sour and funky. no thanks. BTW, this is about the 3rd time I’ve tried it. I’m rating it based on my reaction all 3 times.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Probiere (992) - Iowa, USA - JUL 2, 2004
Good golden cloudy, sharp fruits, acid, berries, apples, sweetness, little yeasty odor. Taste: peachy, very fruity, medium acidity, low bitterness, then more berries, tannic strain coming thru in the middle and end. Yeehaw. Fairly straight-froward: fruit and refereshment, little funk. Very accessible. Grainy note in finish. Tart. Good! Thanks, wunder!

HUGE thanks to jeffc666 for sharing this awesome beer! Pours a clouded amber with a tight frothy white head. Body has many suspended particle flecks in it. Aroma is spicy and sort of peppery. There’s an aroma of yeast and a light hint of fruit as well. Taste is spiced with a yeasty/wheaty body intermingling with more fruit, a faint hint of bubblegum, and definite spice. Sort of like a suped up witbier. The 8% alcohol is absolutely undetectable. Very soft and light mouthfeel, although there is some carbonation on the palate. Finish is more spice with the pepper coming out a bit more. Nice beer and an awesome way to hit 900!
