Light, fruity and champagne-like. Fantôme brews special seasonal beers, never repeating a recipe from year to year. This one is for spring . . .

Reviewed from notes. Poured into a tulip glass. Color is a very murky brown with a white head that fizzles out pretty quickly. The nose brings some soft floral and citrus flavors with a bit of funk and hay. A bit disjointed. However, things come together much better in the flavor as the citrus and floral notes hit it off well with a bit of grass and funk. Good feel with some nice "Fantome notes," as I’d best be able to describe them. Drinkability is quite nice. Other than the appearance, pretty solid all around. Pours hazy orange with a medium head on it that quicly dissapears. Aroma has huge notes of lemon/orange zest reminiscent of chammomile tea. A little barnyard funk is present as well. Body is thin-medium. Flavor is Bready with orange juice-like notes as well. Seems overly spiced with coriander, or chammomile that lingers in the finish.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and sourish dry aroma, floral and very fruity, light spiciness and hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sourish dry flavor, floral and fruity, light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dry, sourish and fruity. Nice one from Fantome – aroma and flavor in balance.

75cl, exclusive brewery, from Den Bierzolder Heule, not complex brew, fruity and slightly sour, very easy to drink, balanced, hazy, small head, nice brew

Bottle; Pour is cloudy golden, with a frothy white head capping the top. Nice lemon peel, spices tropical fruits, and barnyard aromas. Flavors are mango, lemons, hay, spices, pepper, funk and so I have to say that this one did indeed lean towards that drinkable lemonade character that is just so appealing. Just an excellent brew

Corked and capped bottle courtesy of Skyview in Mystery Swap 4.0. I think I’ve had this a little more than a year now. Pours a hazy orange color with suspended white particles. Medium creamy white head lasts forever and leaves decent lacing. Fruity aroma with notes of mango, citrus and a peppery note. The taste is also very fruity... fresh mangos, apple, pear, some leafy notes, white grapes. Medium bodied. Very faintly tart. Soft carbonation. Nice beer.

The pour is a hazy, honey color with sediment and an average, white, frothy, pillowy head which settles to a thin lasting froth and minimal lace rings. The nose is certainly lemony with an herbal funk of rosemary and thyme, something that reminds me of a dry Colorado day in the late spring (lilac maybe?), and some coriander. The flavor is fairly similar with a some subtle honeyed breads malt base, still lemony and coriander, the lilac note still being prominent, some light peppery phenols, and a moderate bitterness with a moderate acidity. The palate is light to medium, lively, faintly quenching, but also somewhat creamy with a dry perception on the finish. The dry perception of the finish is accompanied by still more quenching lemon and coriander as well as the lilac notes. This was a curious one with so much lemony notes almost leading to a quenching beer. The spicing/herbal additions were pleasant but ultimately just not the type of saison I usually enjoy as well as others. Certainly still uniquely Fantôme, just not my style.

Bottle: Pours a glowing peach color with a modest sandy head. Mild aroma is typical saison with some yeast, barnyard, and hints of citrus. The taste is crisp and tart with citrus and yeast in a dry champagne like finish. Lightly fruity and lightly barnyard while maintaining a really crisp and fresh taste. Delightful.
