4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: pours with a huge beige head that settles down into an incredibly dense head that towers above the rim of the glass, beer is a light gold color, very hazy
Aroma: really strong funk from a barn yard, alcohol, lemon, pungent
Taste: orange coriander on top of a very strong funk from the farm, alcohol, some sourness, some tart
Palate: average to soft c02, funky aftertaste, heavier mouthfeel
Overall: takes a while to pour this one down but looks awesome when done, has a lot of funk all around which I like when go for this style, definitely recommended, complex

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice golden ale with a solid finger of tight, white foam. Smells a bit skunked, with a good herbal character, some sage, mint and grass, soft and sweet yeast with a bit of clay and coriander. Hints of noble hops and a bit of cigarette butts. Flavor is bitter, with accents of corn, medicinal bitterness, manure, a bit of hay and oxidized grain. Medium bodied with limited carb and a dry finish. I’m torn on this beer, it is very, very complex – but do I like it? I certainly respect it. The nose is beautifully intriguing, and yet the flavor is a little disappointing. I imagine the 3f gueuze fan to really like this one, but it is a little too funky it seems for my liking. I am confused as to whether this is actually skunked, as the beer was stored in a store, albeit in the back of a shelf, out of maximum light…. Who knows. It has some character that would make me think this has some pilsner stylizing to it.

S: Yeasty, Grassy, Hay
T: Yeasty, Hay, Belgian Sugars
M: Decent Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Drying
Overall, this beer gets better with a little warmth and comes off very yeasty but the belgian sugar finish was pretty nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pleasant aroma with lemon, caramel, hay, and maybe a little strawberry. Bittersweet flavor starts fruity and spicy--seems like ginger, basil, and pepper to me. Peppery spice and drying alcohol finishes a very different, very good beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: thanks, Mike! Bright orange tinted with yellow; cloudy and musky with a few bits of floating sediment. Foamy, white head is close to fizzy and only lasts for a few moments. Aroma is lemon, lemon zest, borderline Lemon Pledge (with the heavy solvent aspect) from the small woodsiness, some pear, citrus, & even a touch of banana. Moderate clove, white pepper, & a ginger-like spice as well. Funk is "light" for a Fantome. Very mild wet hay & yeast. Taste is unique, different, & strange. Lemon, more sweet than tart, with lots of spice; cardamom, white pepper, clove, ginger, and a cluster of other things I can’t identify. Light rotten banana, sweet pear, and more finishing lemon zest. Notable caramel malt and thick bread in the underbody; aftertaste of lemon & Pez candy. Unique and pretty good.
