Sampled at le Mondial de la bière 2005. Slightly dark orange / brown pour with a ring of offwhite lace. Aroma and flavor of perfume, barnyard and spices, the finish is bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture.

This is a nice beer for a warm evening. Printemps is a sweet, flowery saison. The aroma is light hops with light yeast and fresh flowers. Flavor is on the sweet side, more yeast, light spices, and sweet fruit. One of th sweetest saisons I have had. Very tall but short lived white head, and a cloudy gold beer. Well balanced and very drinkable.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2006
Bottled. dark orange hazy appearance with a fluffy white head. Intense and quite beautiful aroma mango, bloodoranges, quantalope melon, over-riped peasrs and lemon with a funky yeasty undertone with notes of flowers and spices. very fruity and concentraded flavour of flowers, oranges, honey, mango and apricot with a dryish finish of funky yeast, oranges, leaves, fudge and mild spices. Spanking good stuff!!!

Hazy caramel colour with a nice tan head-reminiscent of apple cider. Aroma of spice, apples, sugar and floral hops. Medium-bodied; Spicey pepper flavour with some mushrooms and tons of other nuances. Overall, a great and complex beer that makes it hard for me to differentiate all the flavours, as usual from Fantome! I sampled this 75 cL bottle on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Onatrio.

750ml I got in Vegas. thanks to Wetherel for letting me know I hadn’t rated this. Shared with my gf over dinner. I usually love fantome but something about this doesn’t sit qutie right. Pours golden with a bright white head. Nose is sweet but overly spiced. The spice comes back in the taste and it just really doesn’t do it for me.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pailhead (3327) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - APR 22, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2005 Bottle: Mildly sweet skunk and yeast aroma. Pours a hazy yellow with lots of sediment and a white head. Lightly malty with a rather skunky flavor as well. Has a funky spice, orange, and yeasty finish. Skunky aftertaste. Not a big fan of this one. Thanks to wolhfs.*****Re-rate from Schroppfy’s gathering courtesy ofr Schroppfy. 2002 bottle. This doens’t even seem like the same beer as looking at my rating above will show. Sour tart and light wood aroma. Almost gueze-like but a little mellowed out. Pours a cloudy yellow with some dark sediment and a white head. Decent lacing. Lightly sweet up front with a finish much like the aroma, sour and tart with some woodiness. Original ratings of 4-3-4-3-8 have greatly improved.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (3294) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 27, 2008
Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige color ale with a huge foamy off-white head with some good retention and some good lacing. Aroma is somewhat vinous with some sour notes with some weird floral-like notes. Taste is a mix between some strong Belgian style malt with some funky and sour notes and a strange herbal/floral ending. Full body with some strong carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The last few Fantome I have had have been somewhat disappointing but this one was different and very tasty.
