4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Countbeer (2853) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, - MAY 21, 2012Bottle:
Small white head, disappears quick and leaves some islands on top of a hazy orange colored beer.
Smell is a crispy mix of yeasty fruit tones, funk, herbs, light sour, a great promissing mix.
Taste is funky bit like a geuze/lambic, herbs, wheat, lemon, citrus, crisp, light hoppy, spices, wheat, some light malts and again funky.
Hop funk: delicious
Funky herby spicy wheat crispy aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to more fuller body and a light creamy texture.
Deliciouse funky beer!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2013
Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - many thanks to Paul for supplying the Fantome; it’s just not a real party until the Fantome starts a pourin’. Pours cloudy, orange-gold with a fine, fading white head. Tangy orange citrus aroma with sugary, pale bread. Big sweet falvor with further notes of lightly tangy citrus, and mild orange peel bitterness. Full bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with moderate dry citrus fruits, some dough, sugar, faint yeast. Decent. Very drinkable for the ABV.

Bottle - big thanks to Paul at Jack and Leightons birthday pleasantries, 13/04/13.
Heavily hazed golden orange with wee floaters to keep me company.
Nose is tarte fruits, sour tones, lemon rind, light sugar, bitter orange, sour peaches, farmyard.
Taste comprises a good level of funk, soured fleshy fruits, burnt notes, lemon rind, spice.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry in the finish.
Nice stuff!
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jackl (2587) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2013
Bottle. Cheers to monsieur Scopey for supplying this. This apparently had been aged a few years. The pour’s hazy amber with a small head. The aroma’s tart underripe melon, some lemon and peaches. Light farmhouse funk. The taste is tart apple cider. A bit of lactic acid. Mild warhead candy acidity. Wheaty funk. Light body. Fine carbonation. Overall, this seems to have developed some interesting flavors. Nice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013
Bottle (a few years old) shared at Jack & Leighton’s birthday celebration. It pours hazy golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is hay, floral, earth, light vinegar, sweat, sour apple and apricot. The taste is pleasantly tart, floral, hay, some vinegar, touch of sweetness, lemon, sour peach, apricot and some sherbet with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not sure if its meant to be this sour, but it’s tasty nonetheless.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MannyGoldberg (38) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2013
Bottle at home on 15th March 2013. Deep orange colour with a sugary nose. Taste is of green apples but not nearly as lactic as some other Fantome saisons. Pretty good but not as epic as many others from this brewer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Bottle shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael.
Sampled alongside twenty other Fantôme beers.
The beer is light orange colored and fairly hazy, with a finger or so of white head. The aroma is pleasant, offering citrus fruit, funk, hay, lemon zest, floral scents. Lots of citrus fruit in the flavor. I am convinced that there is some radical batch and bottle variation among Fantôme beers, as I am not picking up on a lot of the fruit flavors described in some of the other reviews. Light funk throughout. Incredibly smooth and easy drinking. Light to medium in body with appropriate carbonation. One of the best saisons of the more than two dozen sampled last night.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels Hazy deep blond color, small head. Mild aroma, a bit spicy. Smooth mouthfeel, highly carbonated, differently from other Fantôme this one has some fruitiness and moderate sweetness; also a light ending astringency. Very good.
