Jul 8, 2006 Pour is a cloudy yellow with a huge wihte head. I was scared off the aroma at first when i poped the cork and skunk hit me right away. Somehow it disappeared and left a wonderful. Very musty,earthy but fruity and a nice pepperyness. Flavor is very nice with some citrus and pepper with tons of spice. This is probably the spiciest saison i have ever had. Real good and very tasty.

Jul 7, 2006 Fruity sweet aroma perfumes from an orange pour with medium white laced head. Palate is a bit sticky and cloying. Flavor has some sour to it (mostly tart apple) but is otherwise an uncomplex sweet that lasts throughout. Does not contain any of the peppery dryness I get from Saison Dupont or other saisons. Lively carbonation and nice character, just not my preferred qualities in a saison. Will try again to see if I missed something.

Jul 7, 2006 750 bottle with cork and cap. Gave a hearty pop when the cork was pulled. Poured with high carbonation but almost no head. No lace.
Fruit and spice notes in the taste were subdued in the aroma. Aroma was more of the sour lambic quality, with almost no lambic taste in the beer. Odd.
Palette was active, due to high carbonation, and quite complex for such a light colored beer. Slight fruity after taste of strawberries and lemongrass.

Jul 1, 2006 Pours out an almost orange color with a huge head. Once it settles, the beer smells of peaches and other fruity characteristics. Once you taste it, it has a sweet peach like taste followed immediately by a bitter hoppy finish. Very nice, my first from this brewery, and judging by this one, it wont be my last. Very nice.

Jul 1, 2006 Pours out a cloudy golden color with a huge white head. Aroma is sour with hints of peach. Flavor is very refreshing with a nice dry hoppy finish. This is something that would go great on a nice hot day. Great brew.

Jun 11, 2006 A very nice example of the style. Initial aroma from the bottle was skunky and funky. That settled down to just the usual funk after the pour with some peppery notes. The pour was pretty, lots of carbonation, lots! The head was great and the lacing solid, and the body fairly clear up until the end of the bottle, when the yeasties were unleashed into my glass (yum!). The flavor was rich and deep, nice smooth wheaty and funky base to the beer with some definite pepper and spices in there. Full-bodied saison, very nice.

Jun 8, 2006 Pours a surprisingly clear gold color with a fluffy white head. The appearance is the least impressive thing about this beer. Wonderfully funky aroma. Notes of what I have come to know as "horseblanket" and a little bit of light citrus. Insanely complex flavor with notes or citrus, simple spicey hops, straight funk and a bitter finish. This is that good shit. That funky garage shit. That frustrating shit that seems simple enough that you could make yourself but you can’t. Just the other day I decided that I don’t like people that don’t like Fantome.

Jun 7, 2006 Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with mediumsized whiute head. Barnyardish aroma with acidic fruity hints. Acidic citric flavour with earthy hints. Very dryish and a bit sticky in an acidic way in the aftertaste.
