COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a tremendously delicious, textural, and fizzy county ale, bright gold colour, citric and sour, reminiscent of a good champagne or lambic but in a class all its own.
Fantôme – Golden ale, 8% alc. by volume, with a wonderfully musty and characterful aroma. There are many drinkers out there who believe this is the “Nectar of the Gods.” Certainly no other brewer makes beer like this, in Belgium or anywhere. How many beers of 8% plus offer such fresh fruitiness? A solid Belgian saison beer at its base, with an unusual overlay of fruitiness.

Pours hazy golden with thick white head, funky musty aroma, tart apples,some other fruits. Taste of tart apples, a tiny bitterness but its too bad, sour finish with funky yeast aftertaste, in a good way. Good saison.

Pours a light, hazy gold, with an effervescent head. Aroma of funk, peaches, grapes, sour apples, cider. Taste has good body and carbonation, decent sour, with raspberries, plum... the list seems to go on. Juicy. Great lingering pucker for the finish. Excellent saison.

Mi primera saison y la verdad de las mejores que he probado desde entonces.Aroma citrico, hierbas y levadura pero muy bien balanceada. Maravillosa!

Pours hazy golden. A compact aroma of flowers, fruit and yeast. Flavors are typically farmy but with added sweetness and oomph. Although there is grassy freshness this is not a refreshing saison in my opinion. It’s a full bodied, full flavored saison - on the sweet side.

(bottle) pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of strawberries, herbal hops, barnyard and white pepper, with a medium funkiness and a hint of young gouda cheese. flavour is mostly the same, the strawberries being quite prominent, with a hint of lactic acid, cardboard and a slightly sour finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

On tap from Fantome at Place Luxembourg, Brussels. Nice golden body with medium head. Nose is citrus and malty. Taste is also lots of citrus and fruits. Nice malty and caramel notes but fruit overpowering. Quite enjoyable.

750ml from Chuck’s poured into a Snifter. Pours a cloudy gold with a minimal amount of white head. Aroma of pineapple and citrus. Taste is lightly sour. Think a sour pineapple juice mixed with grapefruit juice. Light bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long sour finish. Overall, very good. Definitively something I would love to drink again, but probably never will.
