This is a tremendously delicious, textural, and fizzy county ale, bright gold colour, citric and sour, reminiscent of a good champagne or lambic but in a class all its own.
Fantôme – Golden ale, 8% alc. by volume, with a wonderfully musty and characterful aroma. There are many drinkers out there who believe this is the “Nectar of the Gods.” Certainly no other brewer makes beer like this, in Belgium or anywhere. How many beers of 8% plus offer such fresh fruitiness? A solid Belgian saison beer at its base, with an unusual overlay of fruitiness.

Wonderful dusty fruity refreshing saison. Alcohol is hidden. Aroma of orange and some bread. Slightly sweet and little bitterness. Quite dry peppery. Amazing well made beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml corked and capped bottle from Arden Wines- trialing it to see if it’s worth clearing the shelves. Dusty pale yellow narrowly capped with white. Lime juice, green apple, honey and sharp wheat aroma. Bright and herbal with a good wring of almost pils-like hop bitterness behind zesty lime, slight edge and acidity leaning into lambic, parsley and lemongrass spice. Alcohol very well concealed. Slick mouthfeel. Solid saison but I won’t be clearing the shelves.

A beautiful, orange and hazy beer with a dense, medium and blond head. The nose of fruits, tartness, earthyness and hand lotion. Interesting aroma. Taste is earthy and strongly tart, some fruits, hint of citrusfruits and hand lotion, also dry lavender herbs. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation and smooth to drink. Interesting beer, balanced tartness with unique flavours.

Intense fruity aroma with plenty of citrus and other sweeter fruits, some yeast too. Has a sharp, tangy, fresh taste. Fruity, yeasty with a dry, peppery finish. Rich, thick texture with a fine but intense carbonation which helps keep the flavour alive long after the beer has gone.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow with a medium sized creamy white head. Good lace and retention. Flowery, bubblegum, citrus, lots of fruit and berry notes; peach, strawberry, pineapple, elderflower, yellow apples, spicy, light white pepper. Very light sour touch. Soft and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Medium body, light/medium sweet and bitter. High drinkability.
