COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a tremendously delicious, textural, and fizzy county ale, bright gold colour, citric and sour, reminiscent of a good champagne or lambic but in a class all its own.
Fantôme – Golden ale, 8% alc. by volume, with a wonderfully musty and characterful aroma. There are many drinkers out there who believe this is the “Nectar of the Gods.” Certainly no other brewer makes beer like this, in Belgium or anywhere. How many beers of 8% plus offer such fresh fruitiness? A solid Belgian saison beer at its base, with an unusual overlay of fruitiness.

Notes dated 07-02-2010: The pour yields the typical huge rocky white saison head atop the golden straw colored body. A little yeast kicks up on the final pours and muddies it up a bit but not in a bad way. The smell is of Meyer lemon, peaches, and the requisite barn yard funk. It might be the best aroma I’ve ever noted on a saison. Taste is under-ripe strawberry, tart citrus, and farm goodness. This saison finally made me realize why it is also called a "farmhouse". It’s as if every nuance of the farm community this was made on some how made it into the nectar that is Fantome. I am convinced that they don’t come any better than this so the ultimate score is due.

Hazy golden color with a white head. Mild farmhouse yeast, citric and moderate fruity aroma. Quite nice and fresh. Medium (+) body and an ok carbonation. Pleasant acidity and kind of semi dry texture. Framhouse yeast, citric and moderate fruity flavor as well. Nice easy going Saison.

This ebullient brew pours a lively, hazy tan body. Though carbonation seems vigorous the head is absence accept for a slight ring. The nose jars the olfactory sense with an unexpected burst of vinegar, farmhouse, and ambiguous, soft spicyness. The body is bready, yeasty, tart, citrusy, and grassy all at once. Very smooth, viscous body. This one takes you for a ride with many twists and turns. It excels in its complexity. Tart, twangy, sour peach and grass finish.

Une superbe saison au nez épicé, citronné, fruité, pointe d’herbes aromatques, houblon frais. Bouche à l’attaque tendue, un milieu de bouche frais et épicé et une longue finale amère et fraîche. Très grande saison

75cl bottle at home. Completely cloudy golden colour, white creamy head. Earthy, yeasty banana and spices, citric, creamy malts, light honey, dry and bitter finish; quite complex, yet refreshing. Lingering aftertaste: dry, bitter and slightly fruity. Medium carbonation, firm body.

From a bottle at Haand Ølfestival 2015, shared with Finn. Hazy golden body under a white, filmy layer. Dotted spots on the glass. Moderate aroma of peach, farmyard and yeast. Spiced fruity taste, dough and peach. Drying end, hints of bitter yeasty fruitiness. Mostly hidden alcohol. Accepted (Drammen 29.05.2015).

Pours cloudy golden. White head, medium carbonation. Fruity, spicy, medium body. Very smooth, but not as dry as expected from a saison. A very good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fantastisk kropp ! Synd vara att den bara fanns i 0.75L och inte i 7.5L !
