This one poured a dark straw/golden color. There was a huge white head to it tht takes awhile to die down. The first thing that hits you from the aroma is peaches. Also a bit of wheat ot the nose. This beer tastes fantastic. The tastte is dry, spicy, wheaty, and those peaches are there again, but the don’t dominate nor are they sweet. A lovely beer! jbrus (4916), Delft, Netherlands

I didn’t really like it before except the one glass I had on tap once at the brewery. About 6 months ago I bought another bottle but was afraid somehow to try it until last night. And what a surpise. It was great! Very complex but still very drinkable. I easily drank the 750ml bottle alone which I almost never do. So the conclusion must be: if you have a good bottle it can be a very good beer. belgianHead99 (5), Landisville, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 2, 2001 Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

Hoppy and fruity aroma of fruits, especially litchi and banana. There is a pleasant soft sourness in the flavour. Complex and funny. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Yeast, straw and acid in the aroma. Tart, well-carbonated. Citrus and cider. Clean, bright, and without a doubt excellent. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

Pours hazy dark orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is spicy, fruity, tart and peppery with hints of earthiness. Medium bodied with carbonation that is fairly soft, but with the spice in the finish seems a little sharp at times. The flavors start sharp, tangy and fruity - a combination of apricot, passion fruit and peppery spices. The finish brings out more of the spice and sharpness. There seems to be some spicy hops as well, bits of Belgium earthiness come out late in the taste. When yeast gets into the mix it gets much more rich and creamy tasting. Very complex, yet easy drinking beer. Excellent beer. Dorwart (1832), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2006 Nice bright white head of fine bubbles. Excellent carbonation keep a nice head on this one. Yeasty, spicy and with a big shot of lemon. Lots of bitter citrus. Color is a clean golden orange. Dry mouthfeel. Slight tartness along with plenty of spices and yeast. More lemon but not quite as prominent. Lingering lemon and slight bitterness. Warming from the alcohol.. Relatively light bodied but yet fullfilling and satisfying. An excellent saison and one that all other should be judged against.
