3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 75cl. A clear one, lightly sparkling, golden in color and with a small, white head. The aroma has a pleasant raspberry touch, but it also has a touch of the bittering raspberry seeds I’m not too fond of. Not much cherry detected. Pretty weak besides the raspberry, but some notes of generic fruityness is present. The flavor has lots of raspberry, with some pale malts and fruityness in the back. A little bitterness too. Long, raspberry finish with some lemony hints. Dryish, but with a touch of sweetness, and a pleasant carbonation level. Some pepper in the very finish. Overall, a nice one indeed, but I prefer the regular Santé-11.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a medium to darkish golden color. White head. Quite cloudy. This is an odd beer. Cherry and raspberry are the strongest notes in the aroma, but some of the spice comes through, which creates an odd mix. That mix comes through even more in the taste. The raspberries and cherries are a bit weaker, the spice is stronger, there’s an odd sweet note (probably from age, at least in part), and I’m getting a touch of band aid as the beer warms. All that said, I quite like it. It’s definitely fantome crazy. The spice plus fruit combo is odd but interesting. The feel is solid. Good carbonation. I bet it was better fresher but so it goes. Anyway, it’s always fun to try ghost craziness, and I like the fruit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is very interesting. Some light raspberry and cherry fruit with some light herbal notes and pepper. Light acidity and moderate barnyard funk. Really odd, but cannot decide if in a good or bad way.
Pours a very cloudy golden orange with a hint of a pink hue. Pillowy white head with average retention that hangs around on the edges.
Flavor starts moderately sweet and fruity with some cherry juice and raspberry. Medium honey note in the middle is a bit off, but it welcomes in the spice notes of pepper and oregano. Honestly its a bit odd, but once again not necessarily in a bad way. Light citrus notes throughout.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall this beer is just weird. The fruit and the spice works well enough but it is also a bit of a confusing combination for a beer. There is also the light acidity and moderate barnyard character. Definitely odd.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 09/22/2013. Golden orange pour, white head dies to the surface, soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aroma is rich, seedy raspberry, subtle underlying cherry, subtle biscuit notes, brett and farmyard character. Taste seedy raspberry, jammy, mildly tart, gentle farmyard notes, well-balanced and mellow, subtle cherry in the aftertaste. Medium body, quite drinkable, pleasant carbonation. More than pleasantly surprised here, pretty great.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A golden orange/amber pour with an off-white head. The fruit on the aroma is fantastic. Intense raspberry with a bit of cherry in the background. Lightly tart, a little bit of grass, but mostly just fruit. The flavor is akin to eating fresh raspberries. A subtle tartness with excellent fruit flavor. Mild cherry to it and a bit of lactic tartness.
