750ml bottle at Fantome-a-thon 2012.

Pours bright and bubbly yellow, tall head that doesnt last. The ginger aroma smacks you in the face right away but once you get past that there is a light funky sake-type of smell. Kind of odd but very inviting. Flavor is grapes, strange funk, a bit of rice, and lots of ginger. Makes me think Champagne, sake, and saison all rolled into one delicious bottle. Thin body.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Pale yellow with thin off white spotting Nose is musty, citric tang, herbal tones, straw, toouch of lime. Taste comprises limeade, grassy, more lime, damp straw, pinch of spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, a little on the watery side. Musty Limeade in effect! Not unpleasant considering the age, just doesn’t offer much!

Bottle, 75cl. 1999 vintage. A clear pale yellowish golden one, flat. The aroma is really herbal, with dandelion and some nettles.Surprisingly not oxidized. It’s quite dry on the palate, thin and almost flat, with a nice flavor of herbs and apples and pears. Some faint maltyness too. Short, herbal finish. Well, a pretty boring one actually, but at least I’m impressed this low ABV level beer still keeps. 140301

The pour is pale straw color with a white head, fairly lively carbonation. The nose is quite fruity and sweet, but also a touch watery--almost seltzer-like. A bit of an apple cider thing going on as well. The flavor is sort of bland with the seltzer water flavor being well represented. A bit of cider along with some hints of spice, yeast, and citrus peel. Quite strange.
