Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a white head that lasts over a clear golden hued body. Aroma is quite herbal, very minty, menthol, spicy, elderflower, coriander, strawberry and watermelon like fruit esters. Flavors are of strawberry, cigar humidor, coriander, funky, minty, mildly tart. Light oxidation. Very lively bubbles, dry. Some lemon-lime character in the finish.

Bottled shared at bu11zeye’s 10,000th rating tasting.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get a lot of lemons and Belgian yeast notes, with some sugar, wheat and a little bit of Fantome funk thrown in. The flavor is very similar. There is a lot of wheat and lemon, as well as some lactic tartness, yeast and barnyard funk. There is also a little bit of sweetness that reminds me of snowcones (not sure why, but that is what I thought when I tasted it). Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

The beer is pale golden in color with a finger of white head. The flavorings of this beer are surprisingly intense. The coriander and oregano are easily detected and go surprisingly well with the sweet malt and light funk of the beer. The flavor is a bit less spicy and herbal, though significantly fruitier. Good malt flavor and sweetness to this as well.

750ml bottle at Fantome-a-thon 2012.
Pours clearish yellow, nice and bubbly. This beer is oddly remeniscent of pizza (kinda like Mama Mia Pizza Beer, but Fantome’d). Rosemary, oregano, malt, pepper, all this is missing is peperoni. Kind of sweet too. Not bad but much like the eucalyptus oil infused Santé 12 this is best enjoyed in small doses.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Light yellow pour with a small white head. Aroma is faint, spicy, and sweet apple. Taste is dry leaves, sour berries, and mulched grass. Strange, spicy finish.

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) very light clear yellow, ring of bubbles. Nose is very funky, char wood, moss and dusty books, like a musty basement. Taste of light tart currant, wet cellar, mossy, light paper, reminds me of a wet forest floor. A little metallic, well carbonated. Odd.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dchmela (2271) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Thanks to Beerlando for sharing this at Fantômepalooza 2011! Dark gold with a frothy white head. Funky horse blanket, herbal spices and fairly tart aroma. Taste has some bitterness, light malt with some oregano and coriander dominating the rest of the taste. Finishes with funk and spices.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beerlando (3324) - Orlando, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2011
750ml bottle. The body is a clear dark golden color. Streams of effervescing pinpoint bubbles feed a thin but lasting off-white blanket. Splotchy flares of lacing mark the glass. The nose is very herbal, showing notes of old, dried oregano that has lost some of its potency, along with peppery wildflowers and wet, musty wood. The signature minty Fantôme yeast tartness is mild, but present nonetheless. Flavors mirror the nose, clearly displaying the peppery coriander and aged, faded oregano. Blonde candy sugar comprises the malt base, but it is fairly neutral and not overly sweet, undoubtedly dried out by the minty, wild yeast. The palate sports a moderate body with slight carbonation and a tart, drying, yeasty finish. This one was a big hit with the group, and while it was not my favorite, it was solid nonetheless. Good brew.
